Trump's day 10/16

Reverse the picture and we could say Trump is a misogynistic, domineering bully that shows his need to keep women in "their place".

reverse the picture and we could say that every
single last interpretation of everything he does
is not necessarily bad and wrong.

Ah, but the Trump supporters couldn't care less about the Constitution and the "rule of law" as they elevate their super-hero over them.

We could also interpret the picture as Pelosi saying "I told you I wanted two extra shots of espresso in my pumpkin latte" and Trump taken aback says "but they were out!"

Pretty sure with all the enemies Trump has if there is a Constitutional or legal problem they will hit him with it, if not then I guess it wasn't a problem.

Ouroboros

Coincidentia oppositorum
Today, Trump attacked the following:
  • media
  • Democrats
  • James Comey
  • Andrew McCabe
  • James Clapper
  • John Brennan
  • “the two great lovers,” Lisa Page and Peter Strzok
  • NATO members
  • the European Union
  • Germany
  • Spain
  • France
  • his guest (“Italy is only paying 1.1 percent” of gross domestic product for defense “instead of the mandated 2 percent”)
  • Google
  • Amazon
  • those seeking to rename Columbus Day
  • just-abandoned Kurdish allies
  • fellow Republicans over Syria
  • Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.)
He's quite a busy-bee. Impressive list and I haven't had my first coffee yet.

I can't help but think of him as Aerys II Targaryen, the Mad King in Game of Thrones.

It is impossible to "win" in the ME, in a take over and
subdue sort of way.

But it is possible to keep the area weak and chaotic.

How can that be done by leaving?
And I read that we had to bomb our own supply depots because we ran instead of having an orderly withdrawal.

Yes, that is what is in the news.
It is just an irrelevant blip in a much bigger picture.

The American approach to their goals has not
been terribly smart of cost efficient but, it has
succeeded so far.

No single country can do it and-nobody has
been able to put together a coalition
sufficient to actually challenge American hegemony.

The USA is not involved all over the world for
the entertainment value.

Just remember: You are the one who read such gender dynamics into it. It shows someone with a mega-huge and massively overinflated ego who claims to be a great negotiator and deal maker backing down like a ***** when someone stands up to him.

If you say so.

Remember the so called "Hitler salute" when Trump had them swear loyalty? It got a lot of play in the media even though it was complete B.S. that is the type of garbage I am making fun of. Nancy Pelosi recently stated that "with Trump, all roads lead to Putin" yet a two or so odd year investigation couldn't establish that claim as fact. Interesting that Pelosi attempts to revive the Russophobia witch craze when it was never proven just a year or so before the election, people see through this garbage and the democrats seem dead set on dooming themselves to repeating the mistakes of 2016.
We shall see in 2020 I guess

Today's not going any better....

Whether or not there was a quid pro quo on Trump's call with the Ukrainian President can no longer be in question. Trump's Chief of Staff, Mick Mulvaney has stated it outright ("we do that sort of thing all the time")...

Yahoo News on Twitter

Interestingly, Mulvaney stated that the quid pro quo was about Ukraine assisting the DoJ in an investigation of the DNC server hack. But when asked about that, DoJ officials said they had no idea what Mulvaney was talking about....

Alex Mallin on Twitter

So we can now move past arguing over whether or not there was a quid pro quo on the call. The WH has clearly stated that there was. The question now is.....is that okay?

“treason”

Definition: In Article III, Section 3 of the United States Constitution, treason is specifically limited to levying war against the US, or adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. Conviction requires two witnesses or a confession in open court.[2]

Penalty: U.S. Code Title 18: Death,[8] or not less than 5 years' imprisonment and not more than life imprisonment without the possibility of parole (minimum fine of $10,000, if not sentenced to death). Any person convicted of treason against the United States will permanently lose the right to ever hold or run for public office anywhere in any capacity within the United States.[9][10]

Constitutionally, citizens of the United States owe allegiance to at least two sovereigns. One is the United States, and the other is their state. They can therefore potentially commit treason against either, or against both.[4] At least fourteen people have been charged with treason against various states; at least six were convicted, five of whom were executed. Only one person has ever been executed for treason against the federal government: William Bruce Mumford, who was convicted of treason and hanged in 1862 for tearing down a United States flag during the American Civil War.[5]
