Today, Trump attacked the following:
  • media
  • Democrats
  • James Comey
  • Andrew McCabe
  • James Clapper
  • John Brennan
  • “the two great lovers,” Lisa Page and Peter Strzok
  • NATO members
  • the European Union
  • Germany
  • Spain
  • France
  • his guest (“Italy is only paying 1.1 percent” of gross domestic product for defense “instead of the mandated 2 percent”)
  • Google
  • Amazon
  • those seeking to rename Columbus Day
  • just-abandoned Kurdish allies
  • fellow Republicans over Syria
  • Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.)

And, oh yes, there was this picture where Nancy Pelosi, the only woman in the room, was clearly putting Trump down as is visible since he's backed away from her at the table. He then tweets this picture as if it says something negative about her and she adopts it as her twitter image.

And Nate Silver observed on twitter: If somehow the Syria and quid-pro-quo stories fuse together, e.g. if Trump's decisions in Syria are later shown to result from various sorts of untoward interests he has in Turkey, Russia or another country, IMO we'd be looking at a pretty good chance of removal from office.

Dammit. On behalf of Australia, I'd like to announce how left out we feel.

I love the look of most of the men at that table. They know that their President is an enormous feminine hygiene product bag.

That is an awesome picture! The "great negotiator," "Mr. Alpha Male," and he's backing down like an omega.

WWMRD?
Who didn't he attack?
  • Turkey
  • Russia
  • Iran (our good friends after all who will help deal with ISIS)
  • Syria

Why would he attack Russia, aren't they helping with the negotiations of a peace deal between Turkey and Syria? Getting the U.S. out of foreign entanglements seems a better idea than continuing decades of failed policies in the ME

True enough, but that is probably reading too much into
stupidity.

Failed? What if the goal is to keep the region
weak and chaotic?

Then we are doing the right thing by getting our people out of the middle of it.

It is impossible to "win" in the ME, in a take over and
subdue sort of way.

But it is possible to keep the area weak and chaotic.

How can that be done by leaving?
