'Factual accuracy' is simply not what the show is about.
Which is, IMO, very careless. It's a show, of course, but we are combating with the reality of living in a world where things like "truthiness," "post-fact society," and "fake news" are problematic. We need more accuracy, more thoroughness, and more integrity, not less. Otherwise, you make yourself look like an *** when trying to claim to have a higher moral position while you yourself are bearing false witness.

Trust me on this...watch the show.
It's not part of the problem, but is rather trying to educate people on how spin works in a humourous way.

Maybe not the show itself, but this idea of "factual accuracy not mattering" is a problem. Comedy of course does require things be spun, but the Bible doesn't actually say women who hold positions of authority over men are going to Hell. Paul says women should not have authority over a man, but he also states specifically that it's something he does not permit, but she's expected to keep quiet, not go to Hell, and it actually gets worse from there than had he condemned women-leaders to Hell.
Spin is one thing, but at least make sure what you claim the source is saying is actually said by that source.

wandering peacefully

Which way to the woods?
Which means the claim that those who work on Sunday are Hellbound is wrong on two accounts. On
Only 2 accounts?? I can think of a few more. I don't think most anyone really thinks people are going to a pretend place called hell whether they work on Sabbath or not. It was a joke video.

As I said, this is humor more than anything else. Humor is not 100% accurate. There is a reason I posted this in the Jokes section.

I agree. Which is why shows like this are good. It literally teaches you the tricks, spin and positioning used by the advertising agency. Makes you laugh too. These are positive outcomes.

Because they’ve been taught lies about what Hell actually is.
So says the Catholics to the Protestants, the Protestants to the Mormons, the Mormons to the Jehovah's Witnesses, and the Witnesses to the Catholics. Round and round it goes, where it stops, it never does because no one has a definitive claim on that stuff. It doesn't help the Bible itself is wildly inconsistent and gives us many different visions and images.

Sometimes I use smileys when making a joke, but that feels a bit heavy handed. If I was serious I would not have posted here. Ironically it is not very different from many serious arguments for Christianity by fundamentalists.
Well Fundies deserve a joke section all to themselves, really. :D

Yahweh’s got the “claim”, and He gives understanding to those who worship Him, exclusively (Exodus 20 1-5). Protestants and Catholics worship a trinity.

And yes, by studying the Original Language words and their meanings, one can get a somewhat accurate view of Scripture. Jehovah’s- Yahweh’s- spirit provides the rest.

Interesting that you didn’t include the Jews.

It's interesting that you mention it because the Jews don't believe in the Christian Hell.

The original language won't clear up if Hell is real or not, or if it's a lake/pit of fire, furnace, cast out into darkness, or separated from god.
And the "needing the spirit," that's a bunch of malarkey. Words are words, you may need a dictionary to understand but no special ghosts required. It also becomes rather absurd with people like me, who at one time were "filled with the spirit" but no longer are.
Yahweh’s got the “claim”, and He gives understanding to those who worship Him, exclusively (Exodus 20 1-5).
Literally, that's what they all say. But the one who says it is right, while everybody else is wrong, but that everybody else becomes the one saying it, and the original to say it is now wrong. And someone else comes along and now the first and second person to make the claim are wrong. But they can't actually demonstrate who is right or wrong, because they all come armed with their supporting verses of the Bible. There reason there are so many denominations is because no one can agree.

Well, here are some Biblical accounts (just mentioned, not cited):

Jacob said he was going there ( to Sheol, Hell) when he died...

Job prayed to go there, so his suffering would stop.

Ecclesiastes says at death, everyone goes there.

When Jesus died, he went there for parts of 3 days.

Does it seem like a place where suffering occurs? No. It sounds like it's just the Grave.
And whaddaya know! That's how it's translated in many versions.

Look at the different renditions of Ecclesiastes 9 10:

Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatever you find to do with your hands, do it with all your might, for in Sheol, where you are going, there is no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom.

Of particular note is the Douay-Rheims.

Hell is just the Grave, from which all will have a resurrection.
Take care.

The Jewish Sheol does not appear to be the same as the Christian Hell.
