I have been sick as a dog the past 6 weeks. I got bronchitis got an antibiotic twice which did nothing for me doxicyclone. They told it was a virus would go away on its own, I got a bad wound from my old surgery 2 years ago possible from putting on 7 pounds.

That made me sick went on more antibiotics for it it went away and my bronchitis and allergies got way worse. I finally went back to the drs office with the bronchitis I can get to go away. Today they finally put me on Prednisone and levoflaxin. I hope this does the trick I am tired of having this nasty bronchitis.

Medications are the devil. Well, not really, but still. We really are over-medicated as a society, and it's generally unhelpful. In the long run, overuse of antibiotics is a substantial risk for our species.

Having said that, feeling sick is awful, so hope you feel better soon.
This might be slightly out of date, since medical research moves quickly sometimes, but this link is pretty interesting, around the impact of using antibiotics or not specifically talking about acute bronchitis. It's like a quick info sheet, easy to read.

Except for the surgery wound, it sounds very similar to what my mom recently went through. Hope you get to feeling better.

I actually very rarely get sick. I get a flu shot every year, too. I usually only got sick when I had gum disease and it would cause bacterial infections in my impacted wisdom teeth. Since I got rid of the gingivitis earlier this year and have been cleaning my teeth thoroughly since, it hasn't happened again. I'm just lucky, I guess. I hope you feel better ASAP.

Well I spoke to my sponsor last night she . She said that steroids made her more chatty a little nervous because they wake you up. I said great, I've got a filthy mouth when I'm like that. Why don't they just send the city out here to quarantine me and wire my mouth shut! I am going to have to slow down and not post as much for the next few days. I might tell my new guy friend on Facebook ill be sick and not chatting as much for the next 3 or 4 days.
