I don't think the single life always leads to happiness...It should read, "Try the single life,
A weak, pathetic, and feeble stab that really doesn't even know what it's attacking. Going to Hell for working on Sunday? Where-oh-where is that one found in the Bible? (it's not)
That's not Sunday. And, ultimately, when the commandment was given, it wasn't hell people were punished to because the Jews lack that Christian concept. And that law only applies to the Jews, so a barista who works Friday night to Saturday night is not at risk of being killed.Exodus 20:8-11
That's not Sunday.
Which means the claim that those who work on Sunday are Hellbound is wrong on two accounts. One because that isn't the Sabbath, and two because they aren't Jews and violators weren't punished with Hell because the Jews do not have that concept. The Sabbath therefore coincides with what the Gregorian calendar identifies as Friday sunset to Saturday sunset.

What logic allows one to kill one set of people but not another for the same "crime"? And most Christians believe that Sunday is the sabbath. Fine, call it Saturday, it is still excessive.Which means the claim that those who work on Sunday are Hellbound is wrong on two accounts. Most Christians also believe Satan is an adversary of God rather than a highly obedient angel of God. And getting your facts wrong about what you are criticizing, it's not as bad as the excessive demand of death but it's still really bad. And the Covenants and Laws between Yahwey and the Hebrews were made between Yahwey and his prophets, declaring the Hebrews his people for delivering them out of Egypt, which is why those laws only apply to Jews and not to Gentiles. Yahwey didn't involve the Gentiles with that stuff, so it's not their business to be involved. What logic allows one to kill one set of people but not another for the same "crime"? And you do realize that this was not meant to be taken too seriously. If they had said "death" they would have been correct for all of those "sins".Most Christians also believe Satan is an adversary of God rather than a highly obedient angel of God. Maybe they should take it a little more seriously so they aren't so sloppy and lazy with their results? Hell didn't exist during the OT to condemn people to it. Leaving the NT to be the source of this condemnation. But, even then, when it says marriage, that isn't an automatic penalty as long as adultery is the reason behind it.And you do realize that this was not meant to be taken too seriously.
