May I kindly ask you this question?
What have France and Germany done to convince Britain to stay?
Have they proposed to modify the treaties?
Why should they change anything; we were members we signed up to oit - with exceptions that we didn't sign up to.

It has faults but we were better off in than out.

It is convenient for them to blame Brexit rather than the UN backed Climate Change initiatives and their EU supporters.

Don't be silly, it's bleedin' obvious that Brexit, especially a no-deal, will affect the car industry because it relies on shipping parts round the EU, often on a "just-in-time" basis so that they don't need to store stock. Any delays or costs associated with Brexit will negatively affect the car industry, and any others that rely on the same freedom to ship goods we currently have.

The car industry has been producing low emission, hybrid, and electric vehicles for decades. They aren't stupid and they know how to plan ahead for that sort of thing - it's much easier than the political idiocy of Brexit.

Don’t be silly, Mrs Merkel is frightened to death of us leaving with a clean break because she knows it will break them.

She has much more confidence in the abilities of the UK than the Remoaners have.

They went full steam ahead to produce diesel vehicles because according to the authorities they were much greener than petrol and look where that got the producers and the consumers that believed them.

Of course they don't want us to leave because we are stronger together.
If a 'Clean Break' aka NO DEAL will harm Germany, I shudder to think what it'll do to us.

Once again you're "answer" seems to have little to do with the points I raised. I assume you simply don't have any answers to them.

It is simply dishonest to characterise a no-deal as a "clean break" because it would be the start of yet more negotiations, with the UK in a severely weakened position - we can't ignore our largest trading partners no matter how much the xenophobic, alt-right cultists pretend that we can and that this is like some sort of war that we can win.

There is no doubt that a no-deal will damage everybody, which is one reason why it's an insane idea, but it will harm the UK far more than anybody else - and we'll have to go grovelling to back to the EU, and to Trump, for trade deals.

Translation please
In her speech at Westminster, the Queen confirmed the will to put Brexit into action. M Gervasoni explains us why this is a great sign from the oldest democracy in the world, in spite of our own (Italian) dems.

You do realise that the Queen reads what her Government has told her to read.
She has no choice in what she says.
So basically she is reading Dominic Cummings words.

Btw...newspapers here are also underlining that the perpetrator of the Manchester stabbing attack was not British...and they are trying to find out his nationality, to see whether he entered Europe thanks to the Left.
