I've left this board many times, for deaths, my strokes and such.
And I'm a non-believer, but I think you'll be back.
But....really.....I don't friggin care !
Or did someone already say that !

But that 60 days Rival! There must have been at least two people claiming to be Jesus to joined the forum in that time. The guy deserves a medal! :D

Depending on what country their from having the name Jesus is not necessarily a Messianic claim. I have a friend from Mexico named Jesus and he refuses to be labeled the Savior.

I happen to think Buddhism is an absurd religious idea. And Satanism. I guess I am within my rights to throw a hissy fit because they are being discussed on here?
Of course you are. Was that ever in doubt?

Nor is there any doubt that there are consequences for whichever course of action you (or me, or anyone else) do or fail to do or refuse to do.

That is one reason why I do not find discussion of rights particularly useful.

Rights only exist to the extent that there are people willing to sustain them. Or, perhaps, to insist that they should be spoken of as if they had other reality somehow.

More to the point, no one is denying you your opinions, not least because there is no true way to attempt to.

I wish you best on your search....

That’s just it..... I think Phaedrus is not searching.

Agnostics may be searching, but those who identify as atheists are usually set....they don’t ask questions, they’d rather make statements.

If I’m wrong in my assessment, Phaedrus, I apologize. Do you ID as agnostic, or atheist?

Whatever you do, I wish you the best.

No, to do such a thing would be childish. Buddhists and others have just as much right to post their ideas here without me literally wanting to leave because they do and saying their ideas should not be discussed.

Exactly. I cannot shut up the people I think have absurd ideas, but leaving because there are absurd religious ideas on a religious forum is just laughable.

I have no idea of what you mean. I truly do not.

Then you need to read what the OP said in his second post on this thread again.
Do I?

I would think that instead perhaps you should not jump the gun quite so quickly in judging other people.

We all have our expectations. They will not converge.

It is IMO best not to be too unprepared to deal with that.

He complained that our forum is too inclusive.

Where do you draw the line on what is an absurd religious idea and decide the forum should not include it?

Who decides that?

You? Me? David? Who?

Or should we allow all ideas here and pride ourselves on our inclusivity and ability to discuss them, no matter how we feel about them?

This.
If a person cannot handle opposing views, then RF is not the place for them. For me, it has been a good place to hear those different views and learn more about them and the people that have them.
