What Will Become of Your Remains?

What do you intend to do (or have others do) with your body when it has expired?

Why? Tradition? To do what's best for the earth? Because you are looking out for number one?

BONUS QUESTION: If Salix's body expired, what would you do to preserve his trend-setting fashion? Could @Sunstone carry the proverbial torch?

Burial.

I would do everything I could to obliterate any trace of Salix's fashion.

Your other thread made me decide: I want to be smothered in A1 sauce and dropped over Yellowstone.

I believe the brain is the most important part of somebody's remains. I suppose if my brain were well-preserved with cryogenics and reanimated by future scientists who could not however reanimate the rest of my body, then I suppose my mind might be reanimated as a character being interfaced with a computer simulated universe; another possibility could be my brain being reattached to either a mechanical body or a healthy biological body harvested from brain stems.

I really want a sky burial but cremation and interment in the family columbarium is what is going to happen.

That probably won't happen as it takes very little time for decay and damage to set in once the brain stops getting fresh boots.

Scientists have brought pig brains back to life after death, so I believe it's just a matter of time before this will be done with human brains.

That really says nothing more than they had a vegatative pig brain. That's a massive leap from fully restoring consciousness. And even, it wouldn't be you, just a reconstructed thing who thinks it's you. And even then, that's likely to remain science fiction and playboy fantasy. Everything dies. Even you.

Preferably a Viking funeral. Of course that will not consume the whole body so I expect to be fish food as a result.

I'm hoping future scientists could restore my mind with its memories fully intact or at least restore my mind's pleasant memories of this life. Otherwise, it'd be like my mind belonging to an entirely different person if I were resurrected without any recollections of this life. This would be rather meaningless for me to go through all this cryogenic process if this were to result in some different person coming into being rather than me being resurrected.

Cremation...

I'd put Salix body in a missile to be shot in the deepest part of space.
