God of Darkness

I post this now and then
and I don't recall any rebuttal

God ….was God....BEFORE He created light

He was God of the Darkness

any other perspective?

I think most people have trouble thinking of "God" (or anything, for that matter). without the use of opposites. The singularity of a deity has to supersede the duality of an object or worship. Good luck with that, however...

well let's suppose God DOES have a flip side

and He might want to show you the Dark Side

would you follow your God?
into the Dark

And how are these intentions ( God's desire to show me the Dark side ) communicated to me?

I would rather say it's God of the Void. Due to there being nothing but emptiness.

Assuming you are talking about a monotheist, uncreated god, it was in solitary confinement for an eternity - in the dark. No wonder it went bat-**** crazy.

I like pitch black darkness.

Light isn’t necessary for experiencing ...stuff.

When you are dreaming....that ain’t photons you’re seeing.

It is still the god of darkness, if it exists and what the Bible attributes to it has any credibility.

when I was sooooooo much younger
living with my grandparents....

I went to the back door to turn off the yard light
and the black of night snapped right up against the glass

it surprised me...I had not seen that happen before
I turn the switch back on and the backyard reappeared.

again....switch off....and nothing but the glass could bee seen
it was like a black mirror

curiosity gave me courage
I opened the door and ventured into the black

a very narrow concrete sidewalk under my feet led me to the far end of the yard
about a hundred feet

there.....I could see nothing but the kitchen light shining through the back door

I could not see my hand in my face
not my feet beneath me
only that small light
soooooo far away

I made my way back to the house
before someone else might assume I was already there

so.....if ever you should hear what you think to be the Voice of God.....

would you follow it?

into the Darkness

I would seek the help of a psychiatrist.
believe in whom ever you care to

but sooner or later

your eyes will close......and the darkness will be waiting

anything else?
besides the eternal darkness of the grave

God ….was God....BEFORE He created light

He was God of the Darkness
In my opinion, in the very beginning, He was a God of the Mysterious/Unknown/Unnamed.

Darkness is a creation of God too. In the Genesis it says 'Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.'

Darkness ''accompanied'' earth.

when I consider that particular line of script
I also consider the situation of which it was dealt

God was dictating to a man
trying to describe to a mortal an existence he could not possibly comprehend

so.....nouns were used
terms were dealt
some vague notion of movement

all in the darkness

Let there be light
is a statement

I think it is similar to ……….I AM!

if not synonymous
