The prophets tell us that THE SCRIBES HAD CHANGED THE GOD'S LAW

The Law of the Kingdom of Heaven is the Law of the Gospel and its merciful commandments, and they are the commandments that God had truly given to Moses.

The Old Testament mandates that are contrary to the merciful commandments of the Gospel are mandates of men. For that, Jesus annulled them with his teachings of the Gospel.

Wrong The Ten commandment law was given to Moses by God at Mount Sinai.

The law of the kingdom of heaven, came by Jesus Christ himself.

Dear friends, I have studied the writings of the prophets, and I found several quotes that make me think what happened to God's Law.

The writings of the prophets tell us that God's law was changed.

The prophets tell us that the scribes had changed the God's Law

The Mosaic covenant and law were given by God, but after the years and centuries, the prophets tell us that the scribes changed the law of God. So tell us the prophets:

"... My people know not the judgment of Yahweh. How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Certainly has changed into a lie the lying pen of the scribes" (Jeremiah 8: 7-9).

"Woe to those who give wicked laws and scribes who write tyrannical prescriptions to set aside the poor and violate the rights of the underdog of my people, to rob widows and orphans" (Isaiah 10.1 -2)

"And the land is defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, changed the commandments, broken the everlasting covenant" (Isaiah 24: 5-6).

"He says, therefore, the Lord: Because this people draw near me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which have been taught" (Isaiah 29.13).

And Jesus Christ, remembering the words of the prophet Isaiah, also told the scribes and Pharisees who were teaching the commandments of men:

"Hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
This people honors me with their lips;
But their heart is far from me.
But in vain they do worship me,
Teaching for doctrines commandments of men"
(Matthew 15.7-9

Dear friends, this is what happened, what the prophets tell us: The God's law was changed by the scribes. The Old Testament's law is different to the commandments of Jesus Christ.

The prophets excoriated the Jews all thru the OT. ... or Judah was tearing Israel to bits with criticisms. Its a very peculiar thing IMO.. They just go on and on comparing Israel to Sodom or a harlot.

And the commandments given by God in the Sinai mount are those that Jesus taught when He preached the gospe, because Jesus said that the commandments were these:

"if thou wouldest enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, Which? And Jesus said, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honor thy father and mother; and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. The young man saith unto him, All these things have I observed: what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wouldest be perfect, go,sell that which thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. But when the young man heard the saying, he went away sorrowful; for he was one that had great possessions" (Matthew 19: 16-22

You may be waiting a long time for a reply from CMike. You replied to a 6 year old post and CMike has been absent from the forum for over 2 years.

Yes, CMike is a Jew.

Really!! Thanks for that. I should have looked at the dates or something. -_-

Dear friends, this is what happened, what the prophets tell us: The God's law was changed by the scribes. The Old Testament's law is different to the commandments of Jesus Christ.
Isaiah is greatly concerned with the ditching of the poor in this time. The Torah has many laws to sustain the poor. For example, farmers are not supposed to harvest the four corners of their fields, but to leave them for the poor. If during the process of harvesting they drop crops, they are to leave them for the poor to glean. Any hungry person may enter a field or orchard and eat until their hunger is satisfied and it is not considered stealing. Part of the 10% tithe is to go to the poor. People are to give alms. Every seven years all debts are forgiven, and slaves are set free. Every 50 years, all land goes back to the family that own it originally 50 years ago (so that "sale" of the land is actually more like leasing with one payment."

Basically, all this charity in Isaiahs day was stopped. The poor were being royally screwed. The people were being circumspect in their sacrifices, kosher eating, keeping shabbat, and yet God took them to task for their treatment of the poor. "I don't want to smell one more of your stinking offerings," said God. (Isaiah 1:11-17)

This is the opening of Isaiah, his "Thesis Statement." The rest of Isaiah needs to be read in this light.

The law of the kingdom of heaven that Jesus taught when he preached the Gospel is the same commandments that God had given Moses. But the law of God was changed by the scribes, and that is why in the Old Testament there are written many commands contrary to the commandments Jesus taught when he preached the Gospel.

The commandments that were really given by God are what Jesus Christ taught us:

"if thou wouldest enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, Which? Nope wrong. God gave to Moses the Ten commandment law on Mount Sinai.

The Law of the kingdom of heaven was given by Jesus Christ himself. The law of the kingdom of heaven is not the ten commandment law.
two completely different law's

1-- Ten commandment law
2-- law of the kingdom of heaven
Two completely different law's

Jesus Christ also taught the law of the kingdom of heaven in Matthew 5:1-19.

God gave to Moses the Ten commandment law on Mount Sinai.
Actually God gave him 613 Commandments. When one reads about the Ten in Exodus, continue reading and what they'll see is a continuation from the Ten that Moses says is from God but not in tablet form. I tend to believe God provided Moses with the Ten in tablet form so those waiting at the bottom of Mt. Sinai would see for themselves that these were from God.

The point being made is that God gave to Moses the Ten commandment law.

Jesus Christ gave the Law of the Kingdom of heaven.

I believe Jesus did not give a law but is the fulfillment of the law.

The law that your referring to is the Ceremonial law of the Sacrificial Lamb offering.
This law Jesus Christ fulfilled at the cross. Which came to it's end.

The Law that I'm referring to, Is the law of the Kingdom of heaven, given by Jesus Christ on top of a Mountain outside of Jerusalem.

Dear friends, this is what happened, what the prophets tell us: The God's law was changed by the scribes. The Old Testament's law is different to the commandments of Jesus Christ.

The intended meaning was indeed lost. If it was not, God's subsequent Messengers would not have been rejected.

Jesus, Muhammad, Bab and Baha'u'llah would have all been embraced, a different world would have resulted.

Actually Capernaum is quite a bit further north and is located just on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee. If you ever get over there, it's well worth visiting, and especially don't miss seeing Peter's house and the ruins of the ancient synagogue close to it.

The law of the kingdom of heaven is very much different than the the Ten commandment law.

The Ten commandment law is between God and mankind, humanity.

The law of the Kingdom of heaven is between God and those in heaven in their Spiritual bodies and Angels,
Which are not of flesh and blood. But Spiritual bodies like angels.

Therefore the law of the Kingdom of heaven is for those in heaven.

The Ten commandment law is for those here on earth.
