Turkey Invades Syria

Salvador

Saw that in the news this morning. One can't help but wonder if the Trump Towers Istanbul had anything to do with Trump's decision to pull out.

I doubt it, because Trump wasn't all that too concerned about Trump Towers Istanbul when he didn't previously hesitate putting tough economic sanctions on Turkey in order to get Andrew Brunson released from a Turkish prison.

Doubt is not very convincing

You know Turkey has taken in millions of refugees in Gulf War one and the Iraq invasion and now this horrible civil war in Syria...

Erdogan sure shut Trump down in the space of a phone call. Wonder how he did that? I mean, Trump was blowing loud about destroying Turkey's economy.

You suppose it had something to do with Trump Tower in Istanbul?

If you were to know why he'd now be very concerned about this matter that he didn't seemly care too much about previously, then please let us know.

Maybe because he's up for reelection in 2020 and wants to campaign on his fulfilling his campaign promises, which he stated if one was actually listening!

Either way, do you honestly support leaving the Kurds to be at the mercy of the Turks? Does it bother you at all that there's the blood being spilled of those that were cooperating with us to defeat ISIS? Does it bother you at all that Trump says that the ISIS terrorists who may escape becomes Europe's problem? Or is fulfilling his campaign promise, which will not be fulfilled after all since these troops are just being redeployed, be more important than thousands of human lives to you?

Earlier in the week Trump threatened to destroy Turkey's economy.. Then, after one phone call he's cowed by Erdogan and abandons the Kurds.

Remember that Trump has been bragging for a year that HE has defeated ISIS.

Turkey has been sheltering 3 and 1/2 million Syrian refugees for five years.

The Kurds have spent their BLOOD to defeat ISIS.

WHY do the Kurds or the Turks have to pay for what Assad has done?

Did you read that the UN is running out of money? Kiss more of USA tax dollars goodbye funding an organization most members only pay lip service to.
It might have something to do with the fact that the US is in arrears to the UN for something like $1.3 billion.

My thoughts are, turkey have always had it in for the Kurds, years of persecution with the Kurdish language and even songs being banned, there will obviously be nothing good coming out of this.

You think the Kurds or the Turks should pay for what Assad has done?

The Germans persecuted the Jews , took their civil rights and property and eventually their lives, So, we gave Palestinian land to European Jews.

Who's "we",the ottoman empire lost Palestine in ww1 and didn't want it back but what's that got to do with Turkish persecution of the Kurds, one of islams finest was one.

They're always being menaced by one power or another, if not nerve gas from Saddam Hussein (sold to him, with knowledge of its use, by the US) it's the several and continuing attacks from Turkey. Apparently they're the new Armenians.
