AOC vs Trump

I prefer to seem them as having not adequately considered her proposals.

I don't think that her supporters have any real interest in maintaining the United States. I can only assume they would prefer flushing it down the toilet and starting over fresh.

...Which is essentially a stupid idea, IMO.

That's your opinion of the democratic party. Your opinion is shaped by your media.

They have a different vision for Ameristan than do I.

I don't think you quite understood my post... I said AOC supporters, not the Democrat party.

...Most Democrats are not AOC supporters. Most Democrats don't want to run the country down the drain and restart like AOC supporters do.

I don't watch Fox news. I watch NBC. My ideas and thoughts are independent, and based on facts and sound logic only.

I cannot be persuaded by personality types or rhetoric, unlike most people. I am different.

Our views are also shaped by yours & those of other AOC supporters here.

That's very true. My political opinions are more a result of my interactions with people on internet forums since I started posting in 2008. Prior to that, I had no political views, and was entirely ignorant of politics.

The posters who had the largest impact on my political learnings are Ridgerunner, Pnewton, Jhark Carnelian, and a number of other liberal posters who always seem to have wanted to silence me from asking questions.

...My all-time biggest question still remains -- Does the Democratic party have long term goals, or do they simply blow with the wind? Nobody has ever answered this, and the lack of willingness to answer this and other logical detailed questions have led me down the road of conservativism.

Case in point, the link that @Revoltingest just shared, proves that many Democrats simply blow with the wind and are oblivious to all potential outcomes, and likely don't care or even take time to think about it.

I consider that sheer stupidity, and accusing them of wanting to flush America down the toilet is actually a compliment to their intelligence.

Ultimately, AOC supporters must represent a combination of both idiots, and people who desire to flush America down the toilet.

I don't hear NBC make the wild claims you believe. My point stands.

Like I said, I'm not swayable by personalities or rhetoric. I form my own opinions independently, and often criticize the messenger.

Facts alone guide me. I form my opinions from facts.

I wonder if AOC is a Poe?
Sometimes it seems that her job is to present a picture of
Democrats designed to make Trump look sane in comparison.

Just think of her as the other extreme from strict libertarian anarchists who want to basically get rid of government (you are not such a person so it does not apply to you).

Some of her ideas are silly but I support her voicing them not because I necessarily agree but because a wide-ranging debate is a good thing to have.

Seeing "strict" & "anarchists", I immediately grasped that it wasn't about me..
But the disclaimer is a nice touch.....just in case my knee were ready to jerk.
And that is how I see her, ie, a big government socialist.

Some debates are too "wide-ranging",
eg, eating babies to reduce over-population.

I think she's very young, & would benefit from
more real world experience...like owning the bar.
That is a very elitist position. Even bartenders live in the real world. They may have a different perspective from the owner, but that is just exactly what we need.

It's hardly "elitist" to advocate owning a bar.
They're far more affordable than a cruise ship, airliner,
auto factory, or department store. The experience of
owning a business, even a small one, is very different
from being an employee there. It's a real eye opener.
Ever owned one?

I've had businesses which took very little money to start up....
- Engineering consulting/contracting
- Custom machining/fabricating business
- Real estate fee management
