Is resurrection in the bible the raising up of the spirit over the gross body and regeneration the raising up of the body again?

resurrection would be the overcoming of the first death? like daniel's 12:2 and as mentioned in isaiah's 26:19?

regeneration would be like matthew 17:12-13

From Prodigal Son's story: "24For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate."
"32It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’” Luke 15

"42So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. 43It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. 44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body."
1Cor 15
This about spiritual resurrection from condition of being spiritually dead :
"14The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. 15The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. " 1 Cor 2

I take it all as being metaphorical. Meaning that we have to "die to our idea of self" to discover and become a vessel for that divine spirit within us that is who we were truly meant to be. It's about letting go of who we think we are, and who we think we're supposed to be, so as to become a more genuine expression of ourselves. The death and rebirth are metaphorical. Not actual.

"Resurrection" is literally a "standing up again."

Like Lazarus did, or Jairus' daughter.

Those who are part of the "first resurrection," are Christ's brothers (Hebrews 2:11; Matthew 25:33-45), who will rule with Him in heaven, "bought from the Earth." (Revelation 14; Revelation 5 10; Luke 12:32) This is a resurrection to spirit life in the heavens.

The vast majority of mankind, though, will receive a different resurrection.
The sheep, in Matthew 25 (who are in a different class from Christ's "brothers"), are those who receive another, different resurrection (Hebrews 11:35)"....better (from, say, Lazarus') in that it's a resurrection to a life on Earth from which they'll have the opportunity to never die again! -- Revelation 21:3-4...."tent of God is with mankind.... and death will be no more."

A fulfillment to the Lord's Prayer, "Thy will be done on Earth..." -- Matthew 6:9-10; Ephesians 1:10.

actually those who are resurrected will die, or those in who christ is raised will die a physical death; which is the 2nd death. there is a spiritual death and a physical death.

Romans 8:6
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Revelation 20:6
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
