Since you believe in the New testament, and that Gods name is Jehovah, can you quote a sentence in the New Testament that says "Jesus is Jehovah"?

What? Are all these examples lost on you?

John 1:23 quotes Isaiah 40:3 as saying John the Baptist was to prepare the way for the LORD (Jehovah). John prepared the way before Jesus so Jesus must be LORD (Jehovah).

In Isaiah 44:8 God is the only Rock. Psalm 18:31 says, “Who is the Rock except our God”? I Corinthians 10:4, identifies Jesus as the Rock. Jesus must also then be God the Rock.

Isaiah 44:24 says that God (Jehovah) is the one who has made all things. Colossians 1:16, speaking of Christ, says that “all things were created by Him and for him”. Jesus must therefore be Jehovah God.

In Jeremiah 10:10 it says “the LORD (Jehovah) is the true God”. I John 5:20 states that Jesus is the “true God”. Jesus must be the true God.

Isaiah 43:10,11 says that “I, even I, am the LORD; and there is no savior besides Me. Jesus is the Savior (Matthew 1:21, Titus 2:13; 2 Peter 1:1, etc., etc.). Jesus must be God the Savior.

Jehovah alone is the only one who knows the hearts of all men. (1 Kings 8:39; Jeremiah 17:9-10). Jesus knows the hearts of all men. (John 2:24-25; Rev. 2:18, 23). Jesus must be God.

Jehovah is our sanctifier. (Exodus 31:13). Jesus sanctifies us (Hebrews 10:10). Only God is the sanctifier of men. Jesus must be God.

Jehovah is our peace (Judges 6:23). Jesus is our peace (Ephesians 2:14). Jesus must be Jehovah.

Jehovah is our righteousness (Jeremiah 23:6). Jesus is our righteousness. (Romans 3:21-22; 1 Corinthians 1:30). Jesus must be Jehovah.

Jehovah is the giver of life who will not allow His people to be delivered / snatched out of His hand (Deuteronomy 32:39). Jesus is the giver of life who will not allow His people to be “snatched” out of His hand. (John 10:28). Jesus must be Jehovah.

Jehovah’s voice is “like the roar of rushing waters” (Ezekiel 43:2). Jesus’ “voice was like the sound of rushing waters” (Revelation 1:15). Jesus must be Jehovah.

Jehovah is present everywhere.(Proverbs 15:3; Jeremiah 23:24; I Kings 8:27); Jesus is omnipresent (John 1:48; Matthew 18:20; 28:20). Jesus must be Jehovah.

Jehovah’s nature does not change (Malachi 3:6). Jesus’ nature does not change. (Hebrews 13:8).

Jehovah is the only God we are to “serve”(2 Kings 17:35); Jesus (identified as the Creator in Colossians 1:16-17) is to be served (Colossians 3:24). Jesus must be Jehovah.

Jesus was a Galilean Jewish peasant who picked up the Baptist's mission and tried to take it forward.

But he failed to get the people's support in Galilee, and failed in Jerusalem.

And what came after is all 'spin'...... Pauline and Johannan spin.

Yeah....... I studied it.

I did too, and the teachings of Paul and Jesus were aligned on the important issues, including the deity of Jesus.

Deity of Jesus
  1. Jesus
    1. "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am," (John 8:58). Compare with Exodus 3:14, "And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM"; and He said, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, "I AM has sent me to you."
  2. Paul
    1. "For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form," (Col. 2:9). See also, Phil. 2:5-8.

Did Jesus and Paul teach the same thing? | CARM.org

In your opinion, but as usual you have presented no evidence, the Bible is not evidence, as I have said boringly often.

That's another topic. Let's stick to what I brought up.
Jews worship the God of Abraham.
Christians worship the God of Abraham.

Therefore despite our differences in theology (we cannot both be correct about Jesus, for example) we do have this one humongous thing in common. Neither of us should go around saying the other worships Satan.

OK. You're right. My bad.

You've provided no evidence your opinion is correct. In fact, it's just another lackluster, knee-jerk abortion.

It is for people like yourself, who claim the less than credible to be true, who have to provide verifiable evidence, which you are unable to do.

It was political.
Jesus and the Baptist both wanted to cut the flow of money to a corrupted priesthood and its Temple.

They wished to bring MERCY without SACRIFICE to the people. It says so in the bible!

So its not my imagination.. Seems to me that it becomes political very early on..

You missed the point again. Let me quote my original question again to see if you find that difficult to understand or why you have been missing the point. I did not ask about the deity of christ.

Try and understand this question.

Since you believe in the New testament, and that Gods name is Jehovah, can you quote a sentence in the New Testament that says "Jesus is Jehovah"?

I've provided enough scriptural evidence from the New Testament in my previous two posts to you that Jesus is divine (Jehovah). And you want more that you can kick to the curb? Whistle for it.

Don't miss the forest for the trees.

See my previous post to you: Why did the world reject the Messiah when He Did come?

We have been all over that any times CG. I see that All doubt is dissapated when we serve each other.

Thus I see it in a different way CG, I am not looking for the wrong, it was what it was. Maybe we spent to much time trying to explain what may have been an error in the past. What matters is what we do for each other in the times to come.

It's unfortunate that Catholic and Protestant traditional beliefs are thought to be misinterpretations or taking things too literal. If Jesus didn't rise again physically. If it isn't him coming back. If there is no Satan and hell. If the fall of man didn't occur with Adam and Eve's disobedience. If the sacrifice Jesus made didn't atone for that mistake, then Christianity is reduced to the most unimportant religion in the world. The Jews missed nothing. There was nothing in Christianity that they needed to leave their religion and follow. All of it was wrong. If the Baha'i are correct. But, until peace is established, like the true Messiah was supposed to do, why should Jews leave their religion to follow another prophet claiming to be their Messiah?

I see Jesus says what is important CG, in a very simply passage, it explains many many things that are written in the Bible;

John 6:63 "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

So the passage offers the thought, if you have seen the Christ Spirit in Jesus, Jesus says you will also know the same Christ Spirit in the Father.

I see we must keep it simple, by their fruits you will know them. Fruits again, are spiritual attributes.
