Name one good thing your religion has accomplished

Please name one GOOD thing your religion has accomplished and feel free to elaborate. I'll start:

Being able to unite people from all sorts of origins and backgrounds in a peaceful and harmonious way, despite the many cultural differences.
I love that, because it proves that coming from different parts of the world, with different languages, habits, skin color, wealth levels, etc, doesn't mean we have to fight or hate each other. It is possible to be loving and caring towards others regardless of all that.

Well we have broken some Guinness Book of World Records
That makes us OFFICIALLY AMAZING

Among those are:

Iglesia Ni Cristo hosts largest firework display ever at Philippines New Year's event

Longest line of sparklers lit in relay

Most hunger relief packages distributed in eight hours

Most people baptised / christened

Largest human sentence

and many more!

Millions and millions of dollars spent in worldwide humanitarian and disaster relief efforts. Other millions spent helping individuals at the local level in times of financial hardship. Probably millions of church member service hours helping those around them in an organized fashion on a local and global scale.Youth programs that have helped hundreds of thousands of youth to learn responsibility, set goals, be moral and be prepared for adulthood. A tremendous social network of instant friends that seem like family when first met, as people leave home and move around their country or the world. (I'm avoiding the more debatable accomplishments having to do with saving souls, bringing joy and hope in Christ, etc).

It helped my mother through her life.

Advaita and Buddhism helped me to understand the essence of reality as it is.

The Prajapita Brahmakumaris made me realize that women are also capable of leading, administering and teaching roles in a spiritual institution, and that the religious world need not necessarily be exclusively male dominated.

I can think of plenty of bad things for which Christianity has been responsible, but no good things. I was relieved when I lost my faith.

I would see that is also part of the Bahai Faith, I would offer that the gift given by
Baha'u'llah, who gave us the example of Abdul'baha as how to live our life, is the greatest gift given in this age.

Catholics did bring cookies, cakes and candy to the new world. They were the first to add sugar to chocolate.

Hospitals.

Schools.

Almshouses.

The idea that human life is intrinsically valuable.

I'm not a Christian but your statement is way over the top.

It don't know about the hospitals, but church schools and alms houses, especially those run by catholics, had a terrible reputation for cruelty.

Slavery was entirely unknown to Zoroastrianism. For the Zoroastrians, the buying and selling of, or even the collecting of slaves never occured.

That's not true.

They didn't practice mass slavery to the extent of the Greeks or Romans, but slavery certainly existed as a concept and was legislated for in statutes.

Zoroastrians didn't enslave each other, but would enslave some of those defeated in battle.

A new standard for love of fellow man--evangelize them so they get into Heaven FREE.

Significant reduction in the incidents of war, plus I'll add that willingness to help others in need even if they don't live in the same area.

Do have to pay extra for citing two?

I can speak only of Christianity, since it is my ex. i would say the inspiration it caused in Monty Python and the movie “the life of Bryan” that derived from that inspiration. A masterwork of western civilization.
