Likely both parties will (and already are) recieve blowback from the various fiascos from this administration.
I would suggest that trolling behavior is inappropriate to his position. He is a leader: a policymaker and the head of the military. Trolling tends to be disruptive.
An example is when he hinted at "...a coming storm" during a time of rising tensions with North Korea:

All right, let's check 'em out.
'“You know, the left plays a tougher game, it’s very funny. I actually think that the people on the right are tougher, but they don’t play it tougher. Okay? I can tell you I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump – I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough — until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad. They realize that there are no consequences to protesting anymore. There used to be consequences, there are none anymore." Et al.
FACT CHECK: Did Donald Trump Encourage Violence at His Rallies?
Surely there is a flavor of violence and some fomenting of fear in these, eh?
Oh yeah! I remember that too. As well as the violence from right wing groups where people got killed. I don't support violence from either side.
