I've never seen Schindlers list before. It's boring, I am not amused, neither it nor I are winning.
I liked the movie, but I recall feeling some annoyment
at Spielberg's heavy handed manipulation.
But a later controversy involving school children who
acted inappropriately arose, & Spielberg handled it
with wisdom & compassion. His stock rose in my eyes.

I dont know if I could make it through the book to see some of those manipulations. The fact it was real people who really went through that, even though it was still Hollywood in the movie, a rough approximation of the events is heart breaking, and it's tragic that humans can be so cruel. Capable of both extremes, but the one extreme doesn't scare me.
