I'm not sure why, though. In full context Old Testament, there is everlasting Hell. So, it says it right in the Bible, 'everlasting'. No need for interpretation.

If there are other hells, the texts give different names, that wouldn't mean there isn't an everlasting Hell.

Hel is just the underworld and the name of the goddess who rules it in Germanic religion. The Christians just added an "l" to it and made it some horrible place.

Now, do I believe that there are realms of punishment? Perhaps. But it's merely the consequence of your actions. Maybe it's just experiencing the negative fallout of your actions, like in the movie Powder where the namesake character makes a guy experience the suffering of a dying deer he shot for fun. In my religion, it's all very cause and effect. My deities don't hold personal grudges and they have to follow the laws of reality, which are beyond them (like the Norns, who govern Fate and even Odin can't go against them).

We had a previous life. We were judged to be unsaved. We were tossed into the Lake of Fire and now we are here again.

It's just that simple. Anyone who says otherwise is in denial, thus they say that verses like Matthew 23:15 aren't to be taken literally.

When One adds up all of the verses that "aren't supposed to be taken literally" they paint quite a picture... a picture of Reincarnation.

Long story short, Hell is a Woman... all women... specifically their Uterus. That is what the Bible teaches and that is what I know to be True.
