Rabbi Sucks Baby's Penis And Gives Him Herpes

There is a decade old history behind my moniker.
I've given it in one of those threads about how they were chosen.
The short story....
Many other names lead to Revolting, which became
Revoltinger, which finally became Revoltingest.
Revolting Revoltinger Revoltingest
made the search in 150.000 posts easy, just 12 left:D
Sequence is very clear: Revolting, Revoltinger to Revoltingest
But why the word Revolting...

There are many things in society & government to revolt against.

Came up during conversation.

One of my sister-in-laws' arguments for circumcision was that other boys might laugh at him. Yeaaaah....

That’s very bizarre to me. My family must be different: I can’t imagine any circumstance in which I’d discuss cutting the genitalia of my son with my immediate family, let alone my in-laws.

Aha, I agree. Now I get the picture loud and clear. And those things are the opposite of Bokononsm
Sad thing is that there is not even much we can do against this. As the very rich dominate the world anyway

The very rich don't impede me.
We're not big on seeing ourselves as victims.

How religious, conservative, traditional, etc. is your family? Of course grandmothers will concern themselves with details and even change a few diapers themselves.

But yes, of course it's bizarre for those whom circumcision isn't a common custom.

However the procedure is unnecessary and permanently alters someone's body without their consent.

I agree. But topics on a child's consent is irrelevant considering that they don't have much to consent to, nor understand the concept of consent, nor have the physical capacity to consent or not to consent. A child in a parents household does not have any autonomy any more than a baby being born.

Not as far as I know (though I thought I recalled the use of a fingernail).

Correction, your right, the mouth is used to suction the blood at the circumcision site.

"The majority of Jewish circumcision ceremonies do not include metzitzah b’peh, in which the mohel, or circumciser, places their mouth directly on the wound to suck away the blood."

Source

Still, from my medical perspective its an unsanitary practice not to mention culturally I wouldn't want any person putting their mouth near or around or on the genitalia of my child.

Your medical perspective and that of others' seem to be at odds, and the cultural taboo exists when you look at the act in any way other than medical. If I am planning to have a colonoscopy, someone might say "culturally, I wouldn't want any person putting any part of their body, or any device up my rectum."

According to what I found, in 2013 (I couldn't find anything more recent), 0.049% of circumcisions in Israel, were evacuated to the hospital, mostly for non-serious complications that could otherwise have been able to be dealt with outside the hospital.

Also according to what I found, 1.37% of the US population is seriously injured in a car accident every year.

I kind of feel like we should be seeing more posts against driving, than circumcisions.

Australia is a large country, I can’t walk 800km to see my mother and father
Then you either shouldn't have moved so far away from them if it was that important to you to see them or come to terms with not being able to see them so often. Or buy a camel if you have weak legs.

Tell the Israeli defence force to sell all their vehicles and take up camels instead.

I didn’t run away from my parents. They ran away from me.

I don’t have long enough vacations to make the trip by camel. Camels simply do not go at 110km/h

Not necessarily. Medically, it's unsanitary for any human being who could potentially be a carrier of some foreign born bacteria/virus to place their lips on wound/laceration. As we see per OP article, said patient had a reaction. We take the same approach when performing BLS which is why you don't need to give mouth to mouth when performing chest compression. Culturally it's taboo because its nasty and uncommon especially when a grown make is suckling the site near, on, or around the child's genitalia. As you did the comparison with colonoscopy, it is commonly accepted considering it's something that is necessary to detect cancer and polyps. Considering our medical advancements, suckling a wound site is unnecessary and unsanitary and should be admonished.
