Haven't heard of it, but I may take a look at it.

I can't say I've been a huge fan of these superhero remakes or reboots or spin-offs - or whatever they're calling them these days.

This is the Batwoman that I remember:

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I've been liking the teasers for the new series Batwoman on the CW (and who knows how else you might be able to watch it). So much so that I might even watch it. supposed to start on Oct 6
I'm just hoping it's not a "get woke go broke" type film.

Look what happened to Ghostbusters.

I don't mind women in these types of films, I just don't understand why they called it Batwoman instead of Batgirl , although I suppose you can look at it as a coming-of-age sort of thing. God I hope not. *Yikes*

That first Spider-Man film turned out to be a chick flick disguised as an action movie.

One of the greatest hurdles I have to overcome to watch most any of the comics-based films or series is that it is almost always night, and/or raining...or they are deep underground, or in huge, abandoned warehouses...the special effects just wouldn't work if exposed to the bright light of day...

I don't knoooow ........... You know how the trailer does one thing and the movie does another. Deception is the trademark in movies and games these days.

But there is one way to find out.

Make popcorn.... Get a drink.....

called Batwoman because it appears that she's over the age of 18, and probably over the age of 21.

Why didn't they call him Batboy in the first place?

Batman is gone.

No one else has stepped up to stop the baddies in Gotham City, not even the Boy Wonder.

So, this ****** niece comes along and figures out where his stuff is sitting around getting rusty from non-use, modifies the suit to fit her, and goes to work on the baddies...a woman picking up the pieces and soldiering on after the man has run out on everyone seems to be pretty realistic to me!:p:D:cool:

As a women this is quite belittling of us.

But all this woke crap will never realise that.

But it exceeded my expectations.

Umm You do know that Batwoman and Batgirl are different characters, right?

Batwoman - Wikipedia

As for “go woke or go broke.” Ehhh. Ghostbusters was bad because it was poorly written, not because it was “woke.” Enter the Spiderverse is literally the most “woke” thing to ever exist and it made bank. Praised by much of the fandom as a reinvigorating fresh all around celebration of the franchise.

As an aside (and I’m not directing this to you specifically. This is a general rant.) I am so goddamn sick of this damn reactionary nonsense people are having with long established characters coming out in media today.
“Oh it’s a woman, it must be woke agenda.”
“Oh Captain Marvel has a cat, clearly Disney is promoting a feminist agenda!”
Like these damned fake nerds whining constantly about long established characters from comics being new age rubbish without the slightest clue about the actual lore.
Whining about Marvel being woke and political ffs! Marvel has been “woke” for like 60 years! Fake geeks! Fake geeks everywhere! Spitting on the legacies of Stan Lee, Bob Kane and even Walt Disney! Christ even Star Trek is not safe from accusations of being “too political.” Star Trek for goodness sakes! Is nothing sacred?
Like I’m not usually one for gatekeeping but these posers need their nerd cards revoked on principle alone.
I wouldn’t be shocked if someone adapted one of Tolkien’s “prequel” works only to have some idiots whine about how it was pushing a woke agenda by having gorgeous perfect female elves. /rant
Like it’s okay to not know every facet of the nerd culture you’re in, but we have Google now. One could just ask the interwebs instead of invoking some conspiracy.

Oh and as for the Show. I, for one, am interested in watching it. I like Batwoman as a character and yes, she’s always been super “woke” as you Americanstanis like to call it. But she’s been around since like 2006 so......
Hopefully it will be available online, on Netflix or digital download (in Australiastan we don’t always get CW shows on TV. But they’re usually sold on DVD at the very least.)
