Contradictions in the Bible

If people do not believe the Truth, then He will send the lie.

Good-Ole-Rebel
Why encourage people not to believe? Where is the sense in that?

What exactly changes in this sending of lies? Is the Bible changing so that it reads one way for believers and another for non-believers? How would you know this?

You made some post about Satan that is not germane to defending your position that God lies. I showed you scripture that you are wrong, but you ignored that and persist in this. Now you are doing your creationist/literalist/fundamentalist best to twist this into me running from you. You must be shooting over your shoulder as you run away. History repeats itself Good-Ole-Rebel.

I said God sending the lie is no different then God sending satan. You said this is not Scriptural. I showed you (Job 1:6-12) proves it is Scirptural.

Which is why you never addressed it and have attempted to blow smoke and fog to cover up you ignorance of Scripture.

So, when you think you can address it....get back with me.

Post #(781) where?
Not post 781 but 78.

No, I showed you that there were two Ahaziah's and two Athaliah's.
No you didn't. The "two" Ahaziahs were one in the same, just different versions of the event.

2 Kings 9 27-28 [Your Evidence]
He [Ahaziah] tried to escape through the garden house, but Jehu followed him. Jehu had said, “Shoot Ahaziah too!”
Ahaziah was wounded when he was in his chariot on the road to Gur near Ibleam. He got as far as Megiddo, but he died there. 28 Ahaziah’s servants carried his body in the chariot to Jerusalem.

2 Chronicles 22: 9 [Your Evidence]
9 Then Jehu looked for Ahaziah. Jehu’s men caught him when he tried to hide in the town of Samaria. They brought him to Jehu. They killed Ahaziah and buried him.
As were the "two Athaliahs one in the same.

2 Chronicles 22:2 [Your Evidence]
2 He was 22 years old when he began to rule. He ruled one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Athaliah. Her father’s name was Omri.

I don't see a thing even suggesting two Athaliahs

MOREOVER, you have the almost identical stories of of Ahaziah's rise to reign.

2 Kings 8:25-27
25 In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah begin to reign.
26 Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel.

2 Chronicles 22
22 And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the eldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned. 2 Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri.

A contradiction set within an identical context.

If you want to believe it is a contradiction and it makes you feel good about denying the Bible as the Word of God, go ahead.
No, I believe the contradiction because that's what it is.

Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah (2 kings)
Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah (2 Chronicles) IDENTICAL

Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; (2 kings)
Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign (2 Chronicles) CONTRADICTION

and he reigned one year in Jerusalem (2 kings)
and he reigned one year in Jerusalem (2 Chronicles) IDENTICAL

his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri . (2 kings)
His mother’s name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri. (2 Chronicles) NEAR IDENTICAL

There are apparent contradictions I have no answer for.
Only because your faith doesn't allow you to accept them. Your faith demands that 2 = 3

So, feel free to use that to deny the Bible is from God.
Oh, I'm not denying the claim that your Bible came from your god here, only your claim that It is not an imperfect Book and that there are no contradictions in it.

Nor am I.

As I said, your unbelief takes nothing away from God or me.

Good-Ole-Rebel
You are calling God a liar. I know why you are doing it. You feel you have to break your back doing acrobatics to rationalize contradictions in the Bible. It has shaken you so badly, you came up with "God is a liar" as an answer.

God gives the Truth. Those that reject the Truth, God sends the lie. They call Him God.

Good-Ole-Rebel
Now you are rambling. If both are calling him God, then how is the second group rejecting Him? Perhaps you meant something else and a getting flustered.

LOL! You keep calling God a liar. A poor excuse for lying still makes one a liar when one lies.

So I guess it is okay if people send fake evidence to your wife that you cheated on her. After all it is not lying.

Yes, I know the mind of God. But I only know the revealed knowledge of God as given in the Bible.

Good-Ole-Rebel
I do not believe you. You do not know the mind of God. You are aware of the Bible, but do not recognize the things in the Bible that tell you that you are wrong. For example, the many passages that say that God is not a liar.

There are plenty of contradictions that found in the Bible that I have no answer for. This is not one. Go find one of those if it makes you feel better.

I never said that the story of Job was not scriptural. Now you are sending something. Not unexpected mind you. You are not the first creationist/literalist/fundamentalist that I have met.
Which is why you never addressed it and have attempted to blow smoke and fog to cover up you ignorance of Scripture.
I never addressed it directly, because the concept of Satan is not the same thing as calling God a liar.
So, when you think you can address it....get back with me.

Good-Ole-Rebel
I have addressed it much more than you addressed the verses of the Bible that show that God is not a liar. You will never get back to me on that.
