African Americans can be white supremacist apparently.

Daryl Davis revolutionary anti-racist who once convinced 200 KKK members to lay down their hoods/robes and reject white supremacy. Has been accused of now being a white supremacist himself by the far left.

Left Wing Activists Call Black Man a White Supremacist

How is the nation expected to heal if people don't lay down their arms and simply talk to each other? Are we really at the point of such decisiveness that issues can't be discussed in a civilized manner without being accused of being a sell out or even worse converting to the "other side"?

No where in this article does it say "far left". Post says "Antifa" but in a really tropey non-specific way.

I don't think the dude's a white supremacist, probably just a lone person saw the KKK/MAGA **** an assumed by association.

Get over yourself dude

Antifa is far left.

And no, he was accused of being a white supremacist for meeting with people of all political persuasions in a meeting called "Ending Racism". Yet they accused it of being a white supremacist meeting and threatened to burn down the venue.

You know what else contributes to the divisiveness? Pretending that the words and actions some idiotic fringe group like AntiFA speak for anyone and everyone who happens to lean left.

Then don't do it.

I specified far left.

So don't pretend otherwise.

And as the article says everybody was getting along, Left and Right, until an antifi whack-job ruined it. And it's not surprising. Davis has recounted of reactionaries getting knee-jerky about it and refusing to accept what he does as good. Do the opinions of those people even matter?

Not a singular antifa person. 40+ gathered outside and made threats. Police had to be called to protect the event. Their opinions don't matter. But these people don't want peace, and this is proof. They only want blood.

Not really.
They're probably almost as far Left as me, however, these blokes today who call themselves Antifa are way more "North" in a "North/South" aspect of the political compass, aligning them ideologically with the likes of Stalin and Mao. They are violently opposed to freedom and liberty, radically opposed to peaceful solutions, and everyone but them is the bad guy and always in the wrong.

Sizeable part of the congress was far-right propagandists.
Even if Mr Davis' was there to fight racism, a sizable amount of speakers were not.

Sargon of Akkad, a UKIP candidate from the UK, known for spreading racist conspiracy theories.
Roaming Millenial, who's known for anti-sjw pseudo-intellectualism.
Karen Straughan, famous anti-feminist
Blaire White, Token Trans for the MAGA crowd, focus on anti-sjw content.
Hunter Avallone, anti-sjw youtuber.
Andy Ngo- no comment needed, far-right misinformation journalist.
I could go on.

Still, civil dialogue accomplishes more than demands of silence and/or threats of violence. How do you suppose Mr Davis has been successful with convincing people to reconsider their racist views?

Acting like "antifa" is an organized group and not a loosely knit group of people is a major concession to the right wing narrative.

Antifa has no words as an organization. Individual anti-fascists or anti-fascist organizations might. But there is organization called "Antifa".

Regardless, people who behave as such are useless and counter-productive.

Some people are like that. Even the article indicated regardless of this and that most people present got along.

You mean

Daryl Davis - keynote speaker
Sargon - the liberal
Lauren Chen - the centrist
Karen Straughn - MRA
Andy Ngo - the gay minority that antifa beat up, called racial and derogatory gay slurs.

Mike Rowlands - self proclaimed sjw
Graham Elwood from TYT
Jeff Waldroff from TYT
Britney Simon - alternative lifestyle educator

Plenty of people from the left, center, and right discussing ways to end racism etc.

You do have a history of lumping the entire left together into one large group of unreasonable pinheads.

It's specified in the OP as far left. Don't know what else to say to ya. If you can accept facts then nothing more to talk about.

Apologetics, the participants got along great. Antifa was even invited to come inside and participate, they refused.

Yup. And I'm not apologizing for their behavior, I'm saying their opinions and thoughts don't matter. If they can't be civil, screw them. They can cry an ocean of tears over being left out of something great. I don't care. They have only themselves to blame.

No, they're not. They are devoted to freedom and liberty, both of which are compromised when fascists are around. As for peaceful solutions, they have the right idea. Peaceful solutions are for the ones too weak to fight for what they believe in.
