Science IS religion

Well I guess I thought people posting were knowledgeable about the beliefs they were defending. I have debated with scientists, astro wizs, evo/bio hotshots and etc etc etc. I know what they can say. Most specialize in a small area, and can't defend even that.
look at the stuff you post- so No people are not knowledgeable about the beliefs they defend. Others who have posted science links are, but you are not. You claim the serpent is Satan in the original sin story yet not 1 verse supports it. The bible May call a serpent Satan at one point in the bible but at no point does it ever specifically name that one as Satan.

You were wrong on the serpent thing. No one has posted science for orig8ns claims that is not faith based.

JChnsc19 was talking about Genesis. No where does Satan appeared in Genesis.

Citing a verse in another book written centuries after Genesis, only demonstrated the weakness of your argument that the serpent = Satan.

Not everything is in genesis and I mentioned though it was in the bible. Many aspects of genesis are brought out later in the bible.

You sir are a liar. There is no scripture in the ENTIRE BIBLE that specifically says the snake in genesis is Satan. It only says serpent.

Actually, in rev 12:9 we see several names for the same individual. Dragon..sepent..satan...and the devil. You stand corrected. Oh another name of the devil is the accuser of the saints.

Work on that accusing stuff eh?

Yes, revelation does mention serpent & Satan. You said the serpent in genesis was the “ol deceiver”, I asked if that was Satan, you said yes. I asked specifically what chapter & verse said this & the verse in revelation says nothing about genesis, Adam or eve, it doesn’t say the serpent was Satan.... none of that. So I’m still waiting for that verse

2 cor 11:3 brings out how the serpent beguiled Eve...in case you were wondering what serpent we are talking about.

The problem is that Revelation isn’t a Jewish scripture, nor was it ever written in Hebrew.

Not only that the whole New Testament are filled with foreign and pagan concepts.

For instance, the concept of a child being born of divine being and mortal women, literally filled Greek and Babylonian myths, eg the demigods, Heracles (Hercules), Achilles and Helen of Troy, or the Sumerian-Akkadian Gilgamesh. And further east, you would have the Shinto first emperor Jimmu, son of the sun goddess Amaterasu.

The man-god or woman-goddess also appeared as avatars of Deva and Devi, the most famous being Rama and Krishna, the avatars of Vishnu.

Adam and Eve were created by god, but not sired by God.

The Bible often referred to some people as children of God, or son of God, but always symbolic, not literal.

Jesus on the other hand, was supposedly sired by God via Mary. God impregnated Mary, and Jesus was born.

To the Jews, Jesus being actual offspring of god and Mary, would be considered sacrilege and foreign.

The evil prophets and spirits know there was a salvation plan..they knew scripture also...no wonder alyernate savior stories existed.

:D Dude it appears we’re reading 2 different bibles. I read your 2 cor 11:3 and I still see the serpent & eve but still nothing directly calling that Satan.

But ultimately I really don’t care. I’m an atheist & couldn’t give 2 craps. I can only do these discussions for a few hours before they begin to bore me to sleep.

I have some good news though. Although the JRef is no longer offering 1,000,000$ for evidence of the supernatural, there are other places offering less money. But the money’s all unclaimed so you could go to each one & clean house!!

Just walk in there with your bad self and all your supernatural evidence and light these places on fire. With your accuracy of the bible, how could you not win them all?

The serpent is the one that was in the garden. It is identified elsewhere as Satan. Far as the bible goes..that is the scoop.
