Regarding 'Creation Stories'

Still waiting for your explanation. How are the verses not in 'context', as you claim?

You have allowed your mouth to write a check your other end can't cover. So, man up. Either admit it or provide an explanation.

Good-Ole-Rebel
I am still waiting for you to properly use them. Until you make a proper argument a weak argument refutes what you claimed.

Do you know how to copy and paste? Do you know how to link?

The Scriptures I gave in post #(199) say exactly what I needed to prove you wrong. You said in post #(197) that the Bible doesn't claim to be the Word of God or that it is literally true and all that it says is true.

The verses I gave prove you wrong. The verses I gave show that you don't know what you're talking about. You like to boast quite a bit. Yet you have nothing to back it up.

Good-Ole-Rebel
Once again, as poorly as you used them a poor argument refutes your claim. You need to do better.

Try again.

I will repeat my claim. The Bible does not say that it is literally true. You could not support that. The closest that you came is that it claimed part of it was what God said, that was not for the whole Bible. Try to think logically here. If I point to a bunch of claims and state this one and that one are true, have I claimed that all of the claims are true? Some is not all.

What do you mean it was not for the whole Bible? I covered both Old and New Testaments.

Go back and reread and then provide an explanation.

Have you heard the term 'crawfishin'?

Nope, you only grabbed some verses that you did not understand. Or if you did understand them you used them improperly.

And no never heard the term "crawfishin". Though I prefer "crayfish" myself.

I know I will wait, because you have nothing.

Good-Ole-Rebel

Now you are breaking the Ninth Commandment. You do know that a Christian should not do this. And once more you are not following this verse:

"But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,"

I am starting to have doubts about your claims of being a Christian.

I understand them very well, as you do also. Which is why you are avoiding the conclusion.

Still waiting for explanation.

You should learn it. You do a lot of it.

I don't care about your doubts.

I gave you an answer. Yet you want to ignore it because it proves my point. Thus I have asked you to explain why those verses are out of context which was your accusation.

Still waiting for that.......

I already gave you more of an explanation than your post merited. I am sorry that it appear to have been beyond your understanding.

By the way, I did not know that you are a socialist. How is that working for you?

I will simply continue to point out that you did not do your homework. You don't get a more thorough explanation until you do.

Meanwhile if you are a Christian you should read this. In case you did not know it is 1 Peter 3 15:

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

You keep avoiding giving answers to the hard questions. Tell me, how do you test the Bible? How do you know that it is true? Circular reasoning is insufficient because then I can "prove" that I am God by merely claiming to be.

You have given nothing. Still waiting.

Don't need to change the subject.

Bearing false witness against your neighbor again.

Why are you running away? I explained to you why your argument failed just because you did not do your homework. Running away from your duties is running away.

Yes you continue to avoid any explanation.

Yes, I know (1 Peter 3:15). You now want me to respond to it yet you do not give explanation of the verses I gave you. What a hypocrite.

But, no problem. I will give you explanation. (1 Peter 3:15) "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear."

1. I do sanctify the Lord God in my heart.
2. I am ready to always give an answer to every man that asketh.
3. I do so with meekness and fear.

Now, still waiting for your explanation of the verses I gave in post #(199).

I gave you an answer. Your post 199 was extremely weak since you did not do your homework. So you are not following 1 Peter 3 15. To quote the great Hitch:

"What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence."

If you want more than I gave you you will have to do your homework.

Why am I not following (1 Peter 3:15)?

We are talking about Scripture, which involved your first questions, which I gave you in post #(199). Now you want to try and crawl away by using you scientific method of proof which is by 'evidence. Bad mistake.

In doing so you have proved my point. You don't know Scripture. You just know the trite phrases that people like you use against Scripture. But when the questions come...you hide. As you are doing now.
