Faith may be the majority of answers, but i'm perplexed about how these religions originated and how faith can be so strong for people considering that in both of these religons, the holy book that each of these religion's represents appear to be very convincing, in fact convincing enough to lure you into the belief when in fact a MAN wrote it. I just don't understand how one religon thinks they are correct versus the other, don't you find that a little perplexing? I just can't see how any of these(or any) religions are the truth. Muslim and Christianity are the two dominant religions of the world. The origional question has been addressed on this forum, but I don't think it' was categorized to one specifc thread.

I just know it's right for me.
Yeah, I figured that's the only answers I can get and that's awesome. But, that's why I don't feel any "religion" is right for me because I don't know which one what IS right, if any. But i'm glad that you found something right for you. Although I do have my own beliefs...but they're kind of erratic and not really specific to one religion.

Well Muslims oppose worshipping Jesus, or praying to "him" as our Lord and Savior.

It's not about the religion.

Depending on what it is one is seeking - no religion, in itself, is the 'right' one.... though of course, those seeking a religion can almost always find one that 'fits' and is 'right for them.'

IMHO of course ;)

To those who say Christianity is of no more worth than any other belief, let me just point out a little fact they may have overlooked -

perhaps they are both very convincing because they are good at speaking to something within people in some resonant way. not all people and not in the same way, but still. when a person feels secure and right with God in the spiritual Truth, seems like that would be a pretty personally convincing feeling.

Oh yes we do:

[Yusufali 5:17] In blasphemy indeed are those that say that Allah is Christ the son of Mary. Say: "Who then hath the least power against Allah, if His will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every - one that is on the earth? For to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. He createth what He pleaseth. For Allah hath power over all things."

[Yusufali 5:72] They do blaspheme who say: "Allah is Christ the son of Mary." But said Christ: "O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help.

[Yusufali 5:75] Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!

[Yusufali 5:116] And behold! Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.[Yusufali 5:117] "Never said I to them aught except what Thou didst command me to say, to wit, 'worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord'; and I was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when Thou didst take me up Thou wast the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things.

[Yusufali 19:88] They say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!"[Yusufali 19:89] Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous![Yusufali 19:90] At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin,[Yusufali 19:91] That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious.[Yusufali 19:92] For it is not consonant with the majesty of (Allah) Most Gracious that He should beget a son.[Yusufali 19:93] Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to (Allah) Most Gracious as a servant.[Yusufali 19:94] He does take an account of them (all), and hath numbered them (all) exactly.[Yusufali 19:95] And everyone of them will come to Him singly on the Day of Judgment.[Yusufali 19:96] On those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, will (Allah) Most Gracious bestow love.

I think one's basic religious identification is part of the socialization process.

The rudiments of religion are mostly instilled in childhood, before the critical and analytical faculties are developed, at a stage when attitudes and ideas are soaked up uncritically. One's faith is firmly ensconced as a mental ROM by the time (if) one develops the capacity for critical analysis.

If the Bible or Quran were presented to an intelligent adult, completely unschooled in religion, I doubt s/he would find either convincing. Indeed, the Bible is available to Muslims and the Quran to Christians, but I don't see any great waves of apostacy.

Simply because Islam answered all my questions about this life or the hereafter and i didn't believe in it just because it's about faith but because it's logical and conviencing to me.

You are wrong on many of these. Many of these have sons of God as a focal point however the son of God is not named jesus. that is the only difference. Read the 16 crucified saviors by Albert Graves I think that is his name or go to this site. The Origins of Christianity

Read all 6 pages just scroll down and it will give you a description of some so called sons of God or saviours.
