Make sense. I always thought Brexit was about Little Englanders. Not in my name. I want no part of Brexit England.
I support my country. I'm not sure what is wrong with that, but in this age of globalism and multiculturalism, it seems to be a sin.

Supporting this unelected government, going against the will of the elected parliament and the best indications we have of the current wishes of the people, is not supporting the UK, or even Little England.

I said I support my country, not it's unelected PM. I stand for British values and the welfare state, the things we've achieved, the fact that we as a collective people are generally good people with a conscience that rejects sexism, promotes tolerance, allows people of all religions to worship here. That's what I like. What I don't like is the melting pot idea; I favour a salad bowl approach. I dislike unbridled migration and the EU superstate idea. I dislike globalisation. I think British culture should remain primarily British.

Don't you think that has been damaged by Brexit? There has, for example, been a rise in racism.

I dislike unbridled migration and the EU superstate idea.

Why? You know Cameron got an opt-out from "ever closer union"?

I think British culture should remain primarily British.

I'm not sure what you mean. I live in an area of Birmingham that is predominantly Asian - there used to be a lot of Irish too but not so many now. Quite a few Polish people moved here more recently. It's great - and I don't find it "not British".

The leader of the Tory party in Scotland - Ruth Davidson - looks set to resign.

Will this make Boris a Ruthless dictator?

Sorry, I couldn't resist, copied shamelessly from another forum.... I'll get my coat....

I just find it incomprehensible that anyone in government would put the E.U. before the U.K.

Then again, they do what makes money not what they value.

Your country is currently being ruled by those who are going to monetarily profit from the UK crashing out without any sort of deal.
There is no infiltration of EU agents in your Government.-

Whether there's something wrong with it depends
entirely on what you mean by "support."

But it does seem strange to me that support for a country so intertwined with the idea of empire would reject implications of empire (e.g. globalism and multiculturalism).

I can see your point, although a significant component of "empire" is control, which they don't really have anymore.

Still, complaining about the after-effects of colonialism now is a bit like complaining about the restaurant bill when it arrives after the meal.

In a way it is, if you define it in a certain way that involves expecting other people to pay the price for one's own mistakes.

Which, not to be subtle, is what is being sold as Brexit these days.
