The Story of Richard Wurmbrand

“God, I know surely that You do not exist. But if perchance You exist, which I contest, it is not my duty to believe in You; it is Your duty to reveal Yourself to me.”

The young Jewish atheist who uttered that flippant prayer was Richard Wurmbrand, born in 1909 in Bucharest, Romania. Little did he know how completely God would answer him, call him to a life of service to Christ, and use him to raise up one of the strongest ministries in the world today that helps the persecuted church.

Salvation and Service

In 1938, in a remote Romanian village, an old German carpenter named Christian Wolfkes lay sick. The only person by his side giving aid and comfort was a Jewish follower of Christ. When Wolfkes recovered, he was so grateful to God that he prayed earnestly for the opportunity to share the gospel with a Jewish person. Although none lived in his village, still he prayed.

One day a young, newly married Jewish couple arrived on vacation. They were Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand. The carpenter enthusiastically gave Richard a Bible. Richard had read the Scriptures once but had gotten nothing from them. However, this time, his heart was stirred. He didn’t know why, until he learned the secret.

The carpenter and his wife had spent many long hours every day praying for his salvation. “The Bible he gave me was written not so much in words, but in flames of love fired by his prayers,” Richard would write later.

The carpenter spoke about God’s unconditional love for the Jewish people (Dt. 7:6–7; Jer. 31:3), the Messianic fulfillments in Jesus, and Jesus’ purpose in coming to Earth: “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (Jn. 3:17).

The Spirit of God freed Richard’s heart, and he believed. Sabina also came to faith and was so deeply changed she soon brought others to the Messiah. >>>>

Tell Them

Some 14 years ago, I stood watching my university students file into the classroom for our opening session in the theology of faith.
That was the day I first saw Tommy. He was combing his hair, which hung six inches below his shoulders. My quick judgment wrote him off as strange – very strange.

Tommy turned out to be my biggest challenge.

He constantly objected to or smirked at the possibility of an unconditionally loving God.

When he turned in his final exam at the end of the course, he asked in a slightly cynical tone, “Do you think I’ll ever find God?”

“No,” I said emphatically.

“Oh,” he responded. “I thought that was the product you were pushing.”

I let him get five steps from the door and then called out.

“I don’t think you’ll ever find Him, but I am certain He will find you.”

Tommy shrugged and left. I felt slightly disappointed that he had missed my clever line.

Later I heard that Tommy had graduated, and I was grateful for that. Then came a sad report: Tommy had terminal cancer. Before I could search him out, he came to me. When he walked into my office, his body was badly wasted, and his long hair had fallen out because of chemotherapy. But his eyes were bright and his voice, for the first time, was firm.

“Tommy! I’ve thought about you so often. I heard you were very sick,” I blurted out.

“Oh, yes, very sick. I have cancer. It’s a matter of weeks.”

“Can you talk about it?”

“Sure. What would you like to know?”

“What’s it like to be only 24 and know that you’re dying?”

“It could be worse,” he told me, “like being 50 and thinking that drinking booze, seducing women and making money are the real ‘biggies’ in life.”

Then he told me why he had come.

“It was something you said to me on the last day of class. I asked if you thought I would ever find God, and you said no, which surprised me. Then you said, ‘But He will find you.’ I thought about that a lot, even though my search for God was hardly intense at that time. But when the doctors removed a lump from my groin and told me that it was malignant, I got serious about locating God. And when the malignancy spread into my vital organs, I really began banging against the bronze doors of heaven. But nothing happened.

Well, one day I woke up, and instead of my desperate attempts to get some kind of message, I just quit.

I decided I didn’t really care about God, an afterlife, or anything like that. I decided to spend what time I had left doing something more important. I thought about you and something else you had said:

‘The essential sadness is to go through life without loving. But it would be almost equally sad to leave this world without ever telling those you loved that you loved them.’ So I began with the hardest one: my dad.”

Tommy’s father had been reading the newspaper when his son approached him.

“Dad, I would like to talk with you.”

“Well, talk.”

“I mean, it’s really important.

The newspaper came down three slow inches.
“What is it?”

“Dad, I love you. I just wanted you to know that.”

Tommy smiled at me as he recounted the moment. “The newspaper fluttered to the floor. Then my father did two things I couldn’t remember him doing before. He cried and he hugged me. And we talked all night, even though he had to go to work the next morning.

“It was easier with my mother and little brother,” Tommy continued. “They cried with me, and we hugged one another, and shared the things we had been keeping secret for so long. Here I was, in the shadow of death, and I was just beginning to open up to all the people I had actually been close to.

“Then one day I turned around and God was there.

He didn’t come to me when I pleaded with Him. Apparently He does things in His own way and at His own hour. The important thing is that you were right. He found me even after I stopped looking for Him.”

“Tommy,” I added, “could I ask you a favor? Would you come to my theology-of-faith course and tell my students what you told me?”

Though we scheduled a date, he never made it. Of course, his life was not really ended by his death, only changed. He made the great step from faith into vision. He found a life far more beautiful than the eye of humanity has ever seen or the mind ever imagined.

Before he died, we talked one last time. “I’m not going to make it to your class,” he said.

“I know, Tommy.”

“Will you tell them for me? Will you . . . tell the whole world for me?”
“I will, Tommy. I’ll tell them.”

Brian Kolfage

Brian Kolfage had been stationed at the Balad Air Base in Iraq for two weeks when an enemy rocket exploded three feet from where he was standing.

His body felt like it was “lit on fire”: his legs were destroyed, his right arm severed, and his survival was touch-and-go.

But twelve months and 16 surgeries later, the triple-amputee was out of the hospital—reportedly as the most severely wounded Airman to survive any war.

Three years later, with three prosthetic limbs and new skills in his non-dominant left hand, he enrolled in the competitive program at the University of Arizona’s College of Architecture, where fewer than one in five applicants was accepted.

On track to graduate in 2014, the Pat Tillman Scholarship recipient has a 3.8 GPA and hopes to “revolutionize military architecture.” He noted: “I lost my legs, but I have my head, my brain. I can do everything I did before mentally.”

The Saga of Odin

Written down by Anna Zubkova

........................

This saga was narrated by Odin, Who incarnated Himself on the Earth in ancient times and Who takes care of the Scandinavian lands (and other lands as well).

The particles of the Eternal Knowledge about the purpose of human life on Earth, about the multidimensionality of the worlds beyond the material world, about what is truly ethical, about earthly love, and about the Divine Love are interwoven into the plot of this saga.

May these stories and images manage to transmit the Tenderness and Power of the Divine Depths to the readers who will try to experience the Light and the Love of the Creator of the entire universe behind the words and images of events!

This book is intended for a wide array of readers.

..........................

Chapter One:
The Girl and the Lord of the Lake

We are sitting together, Divine Odin and I, hugging each other and uniting ourselves as souls, even though He doesn’t have a material body right now, while I have one, this does not hinder our communication in any way!

Many legends are related to the name of this Divine Teacher Who has looked after the Scandinavian lands throughout the centuries! Many generations of people have honored His Wisdom and Power!

So we are both together, Odin and I. I am listening to His Words, I answer Him, I ask Him questions, and I listen to His responses and explanations.

His Divine Body, the Body of the Spirit, consists of Light! He can condense this Light and His appearance becomes more defined in this way, so that one can see His locks of hair, His eyelashes, His bright eyes that radiate Love and Calm, His soft and tender Smile, and His strong arms.

In a blink of an eye, He can make Himself younger or show His Appearance saturated with the great Divine Power, with beard and hair as white as snow, and wavy hair that covers His shoulders.

His Great Power is connected with the Ocean of Power of the One Primordial Consciousness.

His agile Body of Light is much bigger than the material body of a person. This Body of Light can become giant and extend Itself for kilometers or It can dissolve Itself in the Transparency of the Calm of the One Ocean. He can recreate this Body anywhere in the world, and even in many places simultaneously.

Odin shows me, within a tender Light that is similar to a golden mist, the vivid images of the stories that He wants to tell us with my help, my dear readers.

I understand that today Odin did not come to just visit me for a moment, which means that it is now time for Him to tell His stories, those which He has meaning to tell me for a long time. The three-dimensional images of the northern beauty of cliffs and rocks covered in moss and lichen, of crystalline lakes amidst thick forests, of fields and a small farmhouse close to a lake, open before me. I see people dressed in ancient Finnish clothing.

It seems as if this image is getting closer and the words of Odin begin to sound.

* * *

A small Finnish farmhouse was located near a forest lake. Here there lived a family, a husband, a wife, and their small daughter.

And above this lake and beneath this lake, and around this lake and afar, there lived the Divine Lord of the lake. He was big, like a mountain, and consisted of the Light of Love, Care, and Tenderness. This Light easily permeated both the land and the air and was very subtle, so that not everyone was able to see it.

The Divine Lord of the lake was the Lord of not just this small lake and the forest around it, but also, like all other Divine Souls, He was Lord of all the Earth and could appear and disappear in His Body of Light anywhere. However, He still had His favorite places where He always stayed. In this way, He lived close to this small lake together with people, trees, grass, small fish, birds, and other wild and domestic animals, filling all the space with His Light of Love.

The adults could not perceive the Lord of the lake at all, but a girl, while she was very small and still could not speak, was able to see Him.

Some young children very often can see that which exists on the non-material plane. This happens because they themselves have recently lived in these worlds, in the same way as do the souls who do not have material bodies right now.

However, after these children grow up, they forget their ability to see with the soul. They lose it because they stop using it.

This happens since none of the adults explain to the children that it is possible to do this. On the contrary, parents teach their children to live among material objects, and if children tell them something extraordinary, adults say that all of this is just a fantasy.

Without a doubt, it is very important to teach a small person to use his or her body in the material world, that is, to walk, to talk, to look using the eyes of the body, and many other things.

Losing the ability to see with the soul is a good thing if this soul is weak, because, otherwise, the non-material worlds will only frighten this person!

Nor will this vision be favorable for the souls who came to incarnate having coarse qualities that were formed in the past, because such souls will only be able to perceive infernal beings, which can in no way benefit these incarnate souls.

However, the ability to see can help a subtle and strong soul to learn more quickly.

Adults don’t know this, because they themselves forgot about this possibility long ago. Well, maybe not all adults, but the large majority of them unlearned the ability to perceive the surrounding world with the soul without using their bodily organs!

And our Ainu, which was the name of the girl, growing up, also began to lose her ability to see in the world of the Divine Light, since no one could explain to her that this world is a reality. She began to gradually forget that the soul has eyes that can see much more than the eyes of the body. She did not have time to understand that a soul which is developing correctly can also listen and speak without pronouncing words. The soul can speak the language of the spiritual heart.

The parents of Ainu did not tell her anything about such possibilities, since they themselves did not know how to see or listen in this way.

In spite of this, Ainu did not lose the ability to feel everything around her with the spiritual heart and the ability to love everything. That’s why she always felt joy and tenderness when she went to the lake, even though it was the Lord of the lake Who was helping her to experience these states.

The Lord of the lake loved the little Ainu very much!

Martha Mason

Martha Mason graduated valedictorian of her high school and earned two college degrees at the top of the class—all while living her life in an iron lung.

Paralyzed by polio at age 11 in 1948 and confined 23 hours a day in an immobile, 800-pound horizontal tube, the voracious reader stayed “endlessly curious”—and amazingly adaptable.

Custom-built intercoms connected her to school and made her a “regular member” in her classes, with the technology helping her from high school through Wake Forest College (now University), where the English major arrived at her dorm room in a bakery truck.

By the time she died in 2009, Mason had been in the iron lung for a record-setting 60 years. “Something happens to all of us,” she said in a documentary about her, Martha in Lattimore.

“Mine is more visible than yours, but you have to deal with your things, too. None of us are exempt from things that would make us extraordinary people if the world knew the story.”

The Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.

Paris was one of the first places on my pilgrimage of healing following my husband’s sudden death on a wild river in Guatemala. Paris had always been a place of solace, and I thought that it would be a good place to experience my first Easter after Gary’s death.
On the day before Easter I asked my friends Don and Annie Hudson to join me for a concert of sacred music at Notre Dame, though I had hesitated briefly when I saw from the program that the theme would be “Les mysteres douloureux,” the sorrowful mysteries, with Gregorian chants and medieval polyphonies and pieces and improvisations played on the grand orgue.

We would hear the passion of Christ acted out in sorrowful chants, amplified by the swelling sublimity of the grand organ, with its more than 7,000 pipes. The tableaus began with the prayer of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, followed by the flagellation, the crown of thorns, the carrying of the cross, ending with the crucifixion. I wasn’t to escape the sorrows of Easter, after all, but where better to experience them than Notre Dame, where even the most prosaic prayers seem to take on an exalted resonance.

As the six robed men of the Ensemble Gregorien de Notre Dame de Paris chanted the melodious words from centuries-old codexes and manuscripts, I was struck by the depiction of Jesus’s sense of injustice at what was happening and by his very human questioning of this anguish.

“Moi, je t’ai donne an scepter royal; mais toi tu as place sur ma tete une couronne d’epines.”

Me, I gave you a royal scepter; but you, you placed on my head a crown of thorns. Again and again, he repeats, O mon people, que t’ai-je fait? En quoi t’ai-je contriste? O my people, what did I do to you? In what did I sadden you? Reponds-moi. Answer me. Jesus appears to be resisting his fate, calling out to his tormentors and to God. But then he lets go.

“Tout est consommé.” It is finished. It is accomplished.

As I listened to the words of Jesus struggling against his destiny, I couldn’t help but think of Gary’s battle on the river, as he realized that he was facing his death. Gary’s struggle and his death had somehow become entwined in my psyche with the passion story of Jesus. I knew that Gary must have fought mightily. He must have resisted his fate with everything in his mind, body and soul. And then there was a point at which he let go. It was finished. Tout est consommé. A universal story, really. As Joseph Campbell and others have told us, there is only one story, with many faces, of the hero whose quest ends finally in sacrifice.

Resisting tears, I wrote a note to Annie Hudson, for whom I was translating: “The next part is about the suffering of Mary, sung by men.” And the tenors and baritones did their best. “Moi qui ne connaissais pas auparavant la peine, je suis fatigue de ma peine, je sui crucifee par ma douleur.” Grief I did not know before, but now I am worn out by grief and tortured by sorrow.

So many songs of love and death. So much sorrow. For a moment I was Mary and all women who have lost their men to a fate they didn’t choose. In this 12th-century recitation of her suffering, written by Godefroy de Saint-Victor, Mary resists consolation and asks that she take her son’s place in death. “Mon unique consolation est de vous plaindre.” My only consolation is to weep for you.

On the final page of the program, following the text of Saint-Victor’s Planctus, was a photo of Nicholas Coustou’s pieta, one of the glories of Notre Dame. Coustou’s rendering of Mary cradling the body of her son, her arms raised in supplication to the heavens, isn’t as powerful as Michelangelo’s, but Mary’s questioning anguish, captured at its peak, is eloquent enough. Like Mary, I had yet to be consoled, nor did I understand why Gary had to die. But I did feel another small bundle of grief lifted away by the music as it passed through glass and stone on its way upward. -Carol F. Chapman-

Larisa
Close to the Mahadouble of Konstantinos — there stands a giant Mahadouble of His Divine Disciple Larisa.

“Tell us please about Yourself, Larisa!”

“Let Me tell you about Konstantinos — what I know about Him!

“Konstantinos was one of those disciples of Pythagoras who — before the destruction of His School in Croton — went to different towns at the request of the Teacher — to found there branches of the School, which could become sources of Truth and Wisdom for a large number of people.

“Konstantinos began here, on this new place, the work done by Pythagoras. He kindled here a new Fire of Love — by telling people about the Wisdom of the Creator of the universe, about the life of the Whole, about Pythagoras.

“Many people came to listen to Konstantinos and asked Him questions. Those who came not only out of vain curiosity remained with Him. I was among His first disciples.

“I listened to Him with the open eyes of the soul — and great love arose in My heart — love for Him and for everything that He manifested with Himself, for the knowledge which He shared! Also, the meaning of human life became clear to Me!

“Konstantinos asked those living in wealth to contribute to the foundation of the School: anything they could. I was ready to give everything I had. Thus My house on the seashore became the first building of the School.

“Many of the noble citizens gave gold and men for construction. One of Konstantinos’ conditions was that all slaves who wanted to work on the construction and were sent for this work by their masters had to be released from slavery and had to receive the status of free citizens. And people gave their slaves and valuables, and the School grew!

“The School had, in particular, classes for education of children. It was quite unusual — and this made the School desirable to local nobility; this also ensured the support of the authorities.

“Once per week, Konstantinos delivered public lectures for everyone interested. Many people came even from faraway lands, sailing over the sea — those who wanted to know about the Teachings of great Pythagoras.

“Konstantinos and we, His disciples, spent every morning in meditation, then had breakfast and began to work on constructing the buildings of the School.

“The harmony of life, which was the basis of the School, made our life and work so elevated and wonderful that people who remained in the School did not seek a better lot and a better destiny!

“With time, the lectures of Konstantinos were supplemented with the performances of some disciples who developed capabilities of the soul which could be expressed in music, dance, and recitals. This attracted even more people. The School grew and developed!”

“Larisa! Tell us, please, a little about Yourself!”

“It was easy to learn when you were burning with love for Him Who manifests God on the Earth! A soul burning with such love grows and develops very easily!

“With the help of the meditative methods taught by Konstantinos, the spiritual hearts of the disciples grew and expanded! We learned to flood with the spiritual heart over the expanse of the sea! The fire of cordial love grew larger — and embraced all lives, all the beautiful! Shining with love, the souls approached the threshold of the Divine!

“We learned also to control our emotions: to live always in the state of love!

“Then we learned to be a Flow of Light, similar to ‘solar wind’, streaming over the expanse of the sea and blowing ‘the sails of the souls’!

“Then we dissolved ourselves so that every drop of myself-Light merged with the Light of those Divine Consciousnesses which you call the Holy Spirit or Brahman. And one could disappear in Mergence with Them — and exist only as Light!

“In this United Light, we could feel ourselves giant, living, and free from the body!

“I learned to be a Soul-Light — with a real face, with smiling lips, with eyes radiating Love and Light, with gentle hands caressing everything! With the tips of My fingers I could touch bodies of incarnate people — to heal them, to caress them!

“With My fiery heart I aspired to the Creator of everything — and learned to live with His Living Fire of Love!

“Konstantinos, Pythagoras, and Adler guided Me! And now I — together with Them — from the Eternal Oneness — shine at the Creation with the Light of Divine Love!

“… I may add that I became the wife of Konstantinos.”

“Tell us, please, how did You and Konstantinos end these earthly incarnations of Yours?”

“Both Konstantinos and I dissolved everything earthly in Ourselves, including Our materials bodies — fully, completely! Konstantinos achieved this state several years earlier than I.

“Later I had another husband — one of the promising disciples of Konstantinos. He was much younger than I.

“He did not manage to achieve Divinity in that life…

“Now he is embodied again in this land. You have met him. He has a remarkable anahata! This time he is incarnated in a female body. His name now is the same as Mine!

“I look after him. And I ask you to help him once he becomes mature!

“… One achieves full Freedom only thanks to unceasing work on transformation of oneself as a soul!

“… In ‘usual’ conditions one learns the lessons of karma in many corporeal incarnations, where — by going through pain and trials — the soul ripens and transforms, acquiring this experience slowly, painfully, with difficulty.

“But meditative work — if organized correctly and combined with ethical self-correction — allows one to go through this transformational stage of growth much more harmoniously and quickly! This was taught by Pythagoras and Konstantinos. And all true esoteric Schools of Soul are based on the same principles!

“But no meditative ‘techniques’, even well-mastered, can allow the soul to flow into the Ocean of the Creator if there remain states of the consciousness not identical to Him! Until one gets rid of these ‘shadows of the past’, that is of non-Divine qualities and states — the soul cannot achieve the final Mergence!

“In particular, there can be some qualities of the soul which have been useful for its growth but have to be discarded now — when the stage of human life has to be replaced with the stage of the Divine Life!

“The Creator lets only those enter Himself who are identical to Him!

“Therefore, one of the tasks of a spiritual Teacher consists in finding such qualities in the disciples and helping them to become aware of these qualities. And the task of the disciples is to direct all their efforts to final transformation of themselves and to Mergence!

“… One has to create Schools on the Earth — according to the principles established by Pythagoras!

“I want very much to explain to embodied people that if you strike indignantly again and again with your hand against a sharp stone that wounded you — trying to revenge this wound — you bring only new suffering to yourself!

“While the principles of living in harmony with the Whole are very simple:

“— Cordial love!

“— Calmness of the mind and inner quietness!

“— Benevolence toward everyone and doing good to all the living — in deeds, emotions, and thoughts!

“— Gratitude to the Creator for all His lessons!

“The one who manages to keep to these principles in life — advances significantly to that quality which God wants to see in all people!”

Don’t Hope>>>Decide!

While waiting to pick up a friend at the airport in Portland, Oregon, I had one of those life-changing experiences that you hear other people talk about — the kind that sneaks up on you unexpectedly. This one occurred a mere two feet away from me.

Straining to locate my friend among the passengers deplaning through the jet way, I noticed a man coming toward me carrying two light bags. He stopped right next to me to greet his family.

First he motioned to his youngest son (maybe six years old) as he laid down his bags. They gave each other a long, loving hug. As they separated enough to look in each other’s face, I heard the father say, “It’s so good to see you, son. I missed you so much!” His son smiled somewhat shyly, averted his eyes and replied softly, “Me, too, Dad!”

Then the man stood up, gazed in the eyes of his oldest son (maybe nine or ten) and while cupping his son’s face in his hands said, “You’re already quite the young man. I love you very much, Zach!” They too hugged a most loving, tender hug.

While this was happening, a baby girl (perhaps one or one-and-a-half) was squirming excitedly in her mother’s arms, never once taking her little eyes off the wonderful sight of her returning father. The man said, “Hi, baby girl!” as he gently took the child from her mother. He quickly kissed her face all over and then held her close to his chest while rocking her from side to side. The little girl instantly relaxed and simply laid her head on his shoulder, motionless in pure contentment.

After several moments, he handed his daughter to his oldest son and declared, “I’ve saved the best for last!” and proceeded to give his wife the longest, most passionate kiss I ever remember seeing. He gazed into her eyes for several seconds and then silently mouthed. “I love you so much!” They stared at each other’s eyes, beaming big smiles at one another, while holding both hands.

For an instant they reminded me of newlyweds, but I knew by the age of their kids that they couldn’t possibly be. I puzzled about it for a moment then realized how totally engrossed I was in the wonderful display of unconditional love not more than an arm’s length away from me. I suddenly felt uncomfortable, as if I was invading something sacred, but was amazed to hear my own voice nervously ask, “Wow! How long have you two been married?

“Been together fourteen years total, married twelve of those.” he replied, without breaking his gaze from his lovely wife’s face. “Well then, how long have you been away?” I asked. The man finally turned and looked at me, still beaming his joyous smile. “Two whole days!”

Two days? I was stunned. By the intensity of the greeting, I had assumed he’d been gone for at least several weeks – if not months. I know my expression betrayed me.

I said almost offhandedly, hoping to end my intrusion with some semblance of grace (and to get back to searching for my friend), “I hope my marriage is still that passionate after twelve years!”

The man suddenly stopped smiling.

He looked me straight in the eye, and with forcefulness that burned right into my soul, he told me something that left me a different person. He told me, “Don’t hope, friend… decide!” Then he flashed me his wonderful smile again, shook my hand and said, “God bless!” - Michael D. Hargrove-

My mom only had one eye. I hated her… She was such an embarrassment. She cooked for students and teachers to support the family.

There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me. I was so embarrassed.
How could she do this to me? I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out. The next day at school one of my classmates said, “EEEE, your mom only has one eye!”

I wanted to bury myself.

I also wanted my mom to just disappear. I confronted her that day and said, “If you’re only gonna make me a laughing stock, why don’t you just die?”

My mom did not respond… I didn’t even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because I was full of anger. I was oblivious to her feelings.

I wanted out of that house, and have nothing to do with her. So I studied real hard, got a chance to go abroad to study.

Then, I got married.

I bought a house of my own. I had kids of my own. I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts. Then one day, my Mother came to visit me. She hadn’t seen me in years and she didn’t even meet her grandchildren.

When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at her for coming over uninvited. I screamed at her, “How dare you come to my house and scare my children! GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!”

And to this, my mother quietly answered, “Oh, I’m so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address.” – and she disappeared out of sight.

One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house. So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip. After the reunion, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity.

My neighbors said that she died. I did not shed a single tear. They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have.

“My dearest son,

I think of you all the time. I’m sorry that I came to your house and scared your children.

I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion. But I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you. I’m sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were growing up.

You see……..when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye. As a mother, I couldn’t stand watching you having to grow up with one eye. So I gave you mine.

I was so proud of my son who was seeing a whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye.

With all my love to you,

Your mother.” -Author Unknown-

The Great Filmmaker
Have you ever watched a film made by God, the Great Filmmaker?

Have you ever seen one of His sunrise movies, in which He creates the most spectacular scenes of changing colors in the sky?

Or what about one of His great river movies? Did you ever see that one? Did you the see the one where the river moves ever so calmly around a bend in a meadow to then empty into a lake that is sparkling in the sun?

Or what about the one of two lovers holding hands as they walk along a forest path? Or the one of kids laughing and smiling as they play? Or the one where the mother bird flies into a little hole in a tree to feed her young?

Even if you go to the same spot day after day, there will always be a new movie, a new play, a new episode of God’s Great Saga for you to watch, listen, feel, and enjoy!

Better than any movie ever made by people, is one movie made by God, the Great Filmmaker! And these movies are playing everywhere!

To see it, all you need to do is to open your eyes, feel love in your heart, and watch. And then God will begin playing one of His newest movies, a five-star show, made just for you!

Hour after hour, you can watch such movies and not get bored. Hour after hour, you can admire God’s Great Beauty!

He gives everyone a ticket to see His shows, but not everyone uses these tickets. Some prefer to buy different tickets to see shows of passion, nonsense, and violence, while being cramped in a small room filled with stale air. All the while, one of the greatest movies ever made is waiting to be watched right outside the door!

So, have you ever watched a film made by God, the Great Filmmaker?

If not, all you need to do is to open your eyes, feel love in your heart, and watch.

Mouthology:

A Professor was traveling by boat. On his way he asked the sailor:
“Do you know Biology, Ecology, Zoology, Geography, physiology?
The sailor said no to all his questions.

Professor: What do you know on earth. You will die of illiteracy.

After a while the boat started sinking. The Sailor asked the Professor, do you know swiminology & escapology from sharkology?

The professor said no.

Sailor:

“Well, sharkology & crocodilogy will eat your assology, headology & you will dieology because of your mouthology.

Two elderly couples were enjoying friendly conversation when one of the men asked the other,

"Fred, how was the memory clinic you went to last month?"

"Outstanding," Fred replied.

"They taught us all the latest psychological techniques - visualization, association - it made a huge difference for me."

"That's great! What was the name of the clinic?"

Fred went blank. He thought and thought, but couldn't remember. Then a smile broke across his face and he asked, "What do you call that red flower with the long stem and thorns?"

"You mean a rose?"

"Yes, that's it!" He turned to his wife.......

"Rose, what was the name of that clinic?"
