“Despite believing completely different things, they’re the same person...”

Absolutely.
That is easy to observe here on RF.

Uninformed emotionally driven believers have much the same personalities regardless of which side they choose. Atheist, theist, capitalist, socialist...they may as well be football teams.

It is the fly in the ointment of democracy. It is what makes politicians cynical opportunistic crowd baiters.

His point cut too close to home?
Another case of a video offered with no explanation.
I watched a little, but stopped cuz it was neither funny nor interesting..
He posed a question of whether some pepperoni made a swastika.
People disagreed about it.
He made a lot of disconnected rapid fire remarks about this.

What was his point which supposedly "cut too close to home"?
Is it that I don't care for pepperoni?
Are you calling me an "anti-pepperonite"?
Racist!

You probably didn't get far enough into it to hear the "punchline." It was actually pretty clever what he did.

Pull the stick out and watch it to completion. He makes a very solid, worthwhile point. Come on. You can do it. I believe in you.
I should never have expressed my disinterest in the first place.
That was bad form.
My apologies for the distraction.
