Agreeing With Trump ???

I listened to Fox News Coverage of President Trump speaking this morning 8/21/19 and was surprised to find that I agreed with some of his points. I'm very concerned about my own mental stability now.

I'd never actually sat through one of his 30 minute news conferences before and did so only to hear what he had to say about another subject listed in the title, but he never brought it up.

He seems to quite egocentric, and then another outlet said that he believed himself to be "The Chosen One". If that is true, then God must be very upset with us.

You're doing it all wrong.
We're supposed to take firm sides, & either oppose
everything he says/does, or approve of everything.

You want to know something? In some areas I agree with the Socialist Democrats on some issues and disagree with Trump.

Don't tell anybody.

I usually just try to focus on my own principles and ideals, and if a politician agrees with one or more of them, great. If they don't, then I don't lose any sleep over it.

I also never believe in making any politician larger than life - no matter if it's some kind of "demon" or messianic "chosen one." The whole notion is ludicrous.

If there is a God who elevates some people to the level of "Chosen One," then one might wonder just how good of a "chooser" God actually is.

And Jesus chose Judas as one of his apostles; great judge of character.

God chose Adam and Eve right from the start, but they couldn't even follow one simple command to not eat the apple. And then God had to flood the whole earth because He screwed it all up.

And of course, all those kings and queens of Europe were said to have been chosen and blessed by God. A whole litany of tyrants, murderers, rapists, torturers, etc. - all chosen by God to rule over their kingdoms.

Maybe God should not interfere in politics. Apart from everything else, He's just no good at it. God could send Jesus down right now to run in the election, and He probably wouldn't even survive the first primary. For one thing, Jesus has no birth certificate, so that would become an immediate issue. They'd also bring up the fact that he was a convicted criminal and consorted with prostitutes.
