That word is "abba", which is like saying "daddy".

BTW, who's married to your mother?

Maybe read whereas Jesus said to his apostles about the binding and loosening of sins, and this power was passed on to those appointees who replaced them.

BTW, it's God that forgives sins as the priest is only a conduit. .

When the conduit is bad then nothing good can come from it.

You didn't answer my question, so let me repeat it: Who is married to your mother?

Secondly, the use of "abba" (informal Hebrew for father) is from a different word than "presbyteros" (Greek for an elder or a father), so the root words are different. In the use of Pa'pa, the accent is on the first syllable, not the second syllable that would translate out as "father".

The reality is that no one should confuse "abba" with "presbyteros", and no one should confuse Jesus with a pope.

Finally, your arrogance and sarcasm indicates that any belief that you may have in Jesus' message of love and compassion for all appears to be very shallow, maybe even nonexistent. If your church teaches that your behavior is in accordance with what Jesus taught, then let me recommend finding a church that actually does teach the Gospel directive to "love one another as I have loved you" versus head-butting. I very rarely respond to your posts for this reason as you seem hell-bent on trying to demean anyone who may disagree with you through your sarcasm.

Matter of fact, let me recommend you read "The Imitation of Christ" by Thomas Kempis, as it is considered to be a classic book on what our behavior should be like.

Vicar of Christ (from Latin Vicarius Christi) is a term used in different ways and with different theological connotations throughout history. The original notion of a vicar is as an "earthly representative of Christ", but it's also used in the sense of "person acting as parish priest in place of a real person."[1] The title is now used in Catholicism to refer to the bishops[2] and more specifically to the Bishop of Rome (the pope).[3]
Vicar of Christ - Wikipedia

Title and etymology
The word pope derives from Greek πάππας meaning "father". In the early centuries of Christianity, this title was applied, especially in the east, to all bishops[19] and other senior clergy, and later became reserved in the west to the Bishop of Rome, a reservation made official only in the 11th century.[20][21][22][23][24] The earliest record of the use of this title was in regard to the by then deceased Patriarch of Alexandria, Pope Heraclas of Alexandria (232–248).[25] The earliest recorded use of the title "pope" in English dates to the mid-10th century, when it was used in reference to the 7th century Roman Pope Vitalian in an Old English translation of Bede's Historia ecclesiastica gentis Anglorum.[26]

Pope - Wikipedia

No matter how people squirm to weasel out to justify their unscriptural teachings their
error is exposed in the light of day. The truth always prevail.

IT IS CLEAR from the Bible that the first century Church of Christ was led by the apostles and assisted by other ministers of the Gospel. Local churches were led by bishops, deacons and even deaconesses. However, nowhere in the Bible we can read that the whole Church was led by a “pope.”

In fact, the Lord Jesus Christ will never establish an office having a title of a “pope” and will never call any of His apostles and disciples as “pope” because He Himself said:

“But you, do not be called 'Rabbi'; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.” (Matthew 23:8-9 NKJV)

Christ explicitly said, “Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.” The word "pope" means "father." Thus, it is only right to conclude that the Lord Jesus Christ never called and made Apostle Peter as “pope.”

When Apostle Paul mentioned the “offices” that the Lord God appointed inside the Church, he never mentioned the “office of the pope”:

“Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles?” (I Corinthians 12:27-29 NKJV)

In Ephesians 4:11-12, Apostle Paul mentioned again the primary offices appointed inside the Church, but still, no “pope”:

“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:11-12 NKJV)

In the leadership of the local churches, Apostle Paul mentioned the office of the “bishops” and “deacons,” still no “pope”:

“This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach;
“Likewise deacons must be reverent, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy for money, holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience.” (I Timothy 3:1-2, 8-9 NKJV)

Thus, it is a fact that nowhere in the Bible we can read that the whole Church is led by a “pope,” It is very unlikely that the “office” which is very important and significant to the Roman Catholic Church will never be mentioned in the New Testament, the book containing the history of the first century Church of Christ, while the Roman Catholic Church claims that they are the one true Church, the true Church of Christ.

The “office of the pope” is the most important office inside the Roman Catholic Church because for them the “pope” is the head of their church. The Bible never mentioned the “office of the pope” because the head of the one true Church or the Church of the Bible is not the pope but the Lord Jesus Christ:

“For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.” (Ephesians 5:23 NKJV)

The fact that the “office of the pope” doesn’t exist in the first century and never mentioned by the Bible clearly proves that the Roman Catholic Church is not the Church of the Bible but a different institution. Actually, the “office of the pope” came a little later:

upload_2019-8-22_6-42-53.jpeg

“The title pope (papa) was, as has been stated, at one time employed with far more latitude. In the East, it has always been used to designate simple priests. The Western Church, however, it seems from the beginning to have been restricted to bishops (Tertullian, ‘De Pud’ xiii). It was apparently in the fourth century that it began to become a distinctive title of the Roman pontiff...Gregory VIII finally prescribed that it should be confined to the successors of Peter.” (Catholic Encyclopedia, 1913, vol. xii, p. 272.)

At first, the title “pope” was employed with a far more latitude, that it was used to designate simple priests. In seems in the Western Church that from the beginning, the title “pope” has been restricted to bishops. It was apparently in the fourth century that it began to become a distinctive title of the Roman pontiff.

Truly, the Church of the Bible has no “pope” and this proves that the Roman Catholic Church is a different institution from the first century Church of Christ, from the Church of Christ of the Bible.

No, the word "pope" was and is from the Latin as that was the language of the Church when the title first was used. Plus I already explained the use of "pa'pa" versus "papa", whereas the former means "pope" and the latter means "father".

In fact, the Lord Jesus Christ will never establish an office having a title of a “pope” and will never call any of His apostles and disciples as “pope” because He Himself said:
I never stated nor implied that the use of "pope" was used in the early church, and as a matter of fact if you were to check back I stated that it wasn't applied until several centuries after Jesus' time.

The rest of your post is just more rambling.

Truly, the Church of the Bible has no “pope” and this proves that the Roman Catholic Church is a different institution from the first century Church of Christ, from the Church of Christ of the Bible.
That's not logical as there was no formal name as the "Church of Christ" until long after the Protestant Reformation. Also, as I stated before, the use of "Roman" did not get used until many centuries after Christ in reference to the Church, and that was necessitated to differentiate the western Church from the eastern Church that chose to be in communion with the Catholic Church many centuries later. Those churches are in union with the Vatican but have some separate rules.

Secondly, Jesus said he would guide his Church until the end of time, and if you actually check with the gospels you'll repeatedly see that the "Church" is used in the singular tense with the exception of when it's used to refer to local churches, the latter of which we see used in Acts and some of the epistles and Revelation. And, as Paul repeatedly stated, the Church is "one body", not many bodies.

I linked you to a non-Catholic source so you could see this referenced for yourself, but yet that was fruitless on my part as you obviously chose not to read it.

THE CHURCH BUILT BY CHRIST
IS CALLED AFTER HIS NAME

The one true Church is called after the name of her founder, owner and head, thus it is called “Church of Christ”:

“For just as the human body is one and yet has many parts, and all its parts, many as they are, constitute but one body, so it is with the Church of Christ.” (I Cor. 12:12 NTME)

How important is the name “Church of Christ”? How important that the Church is called after the name of her founder, owner and head (the Lord Jesus Christ)? Let us read Acts 4:12:

“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 NKJV)

The Bible said, “there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” The verse further testified, “Nor is there salvation in any other.” Thus, if a church is not called “Church of Christ” it means that there is no salvation in this church.

Even Catholic authorities testify that the one true Church founded by Christ is called “Church of Christ”:

“5. Did Jesus Christ established a Church?
“Yes, from all history, both secular and profane, as well as from the Bible considered as a human document, we learn that Jesus Christ established a Church, which from the earliest times has been called after Him the Christian Church or the Church of Christ.” (Cassily, Francis B., S.J. Religion: Doctrine and Practice for use in Catholic High Schools, p. 442-443.)

upload_2019-8-23_7-26-58.jpeg

However, Catholic authorities admitted that the name “catholic” cannot be found in the Bible, but instead, a name coined only by Ignatius, bishop of Antioch in early second century AD:

upload_2019-8-23_7-27-58.jpeg

The name Catholic as a name is not applied to the Catholic Church in the Bible…St. Ignatius of Antioch, writing to the Christians of Smyrna about the year 110, is the first to use the name ‘The Catholic Church’…” (Conway, Bertrand L. The Question Box, p. 132)

Catholic authorities admitted that only on the sixteenth century when the word “Roman” was made part of the name “Catholic Church”:

“The Council of Trent made ‘Roman’ part of the official title of the Church…” (Taylor, Edward K. Roman Catholic, p.7)

Catholic authorities also admitted that the name “Holy Catholic Apostolic Roman Church” was made only in 1870 at the First Vatican Council:

upload_2019-8-23_7-30-13.jpeg

“In 1870, at the Vatican Council, the name ‘Roman Catholic Church’ was proposed but it was rejected. The bishops assembled unanimously decided upon this official name: ‘The Holy Catholic Apostolic Roman Church’...” (Crock, Clement H. Discourses on the Apostles’ Creed, p. 191.)

Thus, the official name of the Catholic Church is “Roman Catholic Apostolic Church” made only in 1870, while the name of the one true Church built by Christ is “Church of Christ.”

Trinity.png

THE TRINITARIANS KNEW that if they cannot prove that the doctrine of the trinity is biblical, this doctrine cannot be accepted by true Christians because according to Apostles Paul we must condemned the “different gospel.” In Galatians 1:6-8, this is what Apostle Paul said:

“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel - which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!” (Galacia 1:6-8 NIV)

According to the Apostles Paul, “Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.” The beloved apostle called their teaching as “a different gospel” and admonish the Christians to condemned these teachings.Apostle Peter clearly warned us that false teachers will appear and will bring destructive, untrue doctrines:

"False prophets appeared in the past among the people, and in the same way false teachers will appear among you. They will bring in destructive, untrue doctrines, and will deny the Master who redeemed them, and so they will bring upon themselves sudden destruction." (II Peter 2:1 TEV)

What Apostle Peter calls as “destructive, untrue doctrine” is what Apostle Paul calls as “different gospel,” which is a confused and perverted gospel of Christ. What is an example of what the Lord Jesus Christ taught that “perverted” and “confused” by the false teachers? In John 17:1 and 3, this is what the Lord Jesus Christ said:

“After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: 'Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.
“Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” (John 17:1 and 3 NIV)

Christ taught us that there is only one true God, the Father. This is the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ regarding the true God that we all must accept and adhere. He said, “Father…this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God.” Remember what Apostle Paul said, “Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.” Thus, the false teachers will confused and pervert the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ that there is only one true God, the Father.

How did the false teachers confused and perverted the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ that there is only one true God and that the Father is the only true God?

The Perverted Doctrine about God

What Apostle Paul referring to as “a different gospel” is a perverted gospel of Christ. The word “pervert” means “misinterpret or distort something.” Thus, a misinterpreted or distorted gospel or doctrine of Christ about God is “a different gospel” that we must condemned. The Lord Jesus Christ said that “the Father is the only true God.” How did the false teachers perverted or distorted this teaching of Christ? A Catholic book titled “The Creed” tells is the doctrine of the Catholic Church about God:

“The three persons then, being only one God, are perfectly equal in perfection, majesty and glory: ‘the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit possess one God-head, equal glory and co-eternal majesty. As the Father is, so is the Son, also is the Holy Spirit…the Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God. And yet they are not three Gods, but only one God’ (from the Athanasian Creed).” [Gran, Sister Ma. Valerie, D.S.P. The Creed. Nihil Obstat: Rt. Rev. Msgr. Victor R. Serrano, H.P. Imprimatur: Rt. Rev. Msgr. Benjamin L. Marino, P.A. Pasay, Metro Manila, Phillipines: Daughters of St. PaulPublications, 1984, p. p. 50.]

The Catholics and even the Protestants believe that there are three persons in one God - the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, and these three are only one God. However, the gospel or the teachings of Christ clearly states that the Father alone is the only true God. The doctrine of the Trinity is indeed a perversion of distortion of the teachings of Christ about God.

There are people who insist that the doctrine of the Trinity (that there is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, and these trhee are one God) is not a distortion of the teaching of Christ that the the Father is the only true God. Apostle Paul has an explanation why they cannot see the light of the Gospel of Christ:

upload_2019-8-23_9-56-27.jpeg

“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (II Corinthians 4:4 NIV)

The trinitarians (those who adhere to the Trinitarian doctrine) insist that the Trinitry is the true Chrisian doctrine. However, this is what apostle Paul teaches about the true Christian doctrine about God:

"Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live." (I Corinthians 8:6 NIV)

Apostle Paul said, "For us" (he is referring to the true Christians), "there is but one God, the Father." Thus, the true Christians adhere the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ that the Father is the only true God. This proves that the doctrine that the one true God are the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is the perverted or distorted teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ which adhere by true Christians that the father alone is the only true God.

Apostle Paul said, "For us" (he is referring to the true Christians), "there is but one God, the Father." This proves that the doctrine that the one true God are the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is the perverted or distorted teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ which adhere by true Christians that the father alone is the only true God.
This is why the Nicene Creed makes no sense. They say there is one Lord, Jesus Christ but then go on to say that the Holy Spirit is the Lord. How can you have it both ways. If there is one Lord then the Holy Spirit is not Lord. Or if Holy Spirit is Lord then there is not "onr Lord, Jesus Christ." Which is it?

So where is the dirty and unholy Roman Catholic Apostolic Church recorded in the bible?
The Bible does not mention your church despite of the fact that it is 1500 years
How come your popes, bishops and cardinals never thought of changing the name to let us say
Church of God? Church of Christ? Or something like that?

Does the Bible mention the word "CATHOLIC"

The message of the creed is an abomination
Because it came from the abomination

Revelation 17:4-6 New International Version (NIV)

The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. The name written on her forehead was a mystery:

babylon the great

the mother of prostitutes

and of the abominations of the earth.

I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus.

When I saw her, I was greatly astonish

Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.
In my last post to you I mentioned that it was used at times to refer to all the local churches. So, what you have done is to essentially be dishonest in posting the above as if I had said something otherwise.
Catholic authorities admitted that only on the sixteenth century when the word “Roman” was made part of the name “Catholic Church”:
This also I posted in my last post, so it seems that you simply are willing to do almost anything it seems to try and chalk up little debate points. And there were also a couple of other points you made whereas I had already covered that. So, why should I even post back to you as it appears to be a total waste of time.

And finally, your church apparently doesn't teach Jesus' mandate for us to "love one another", so maybe seek out a church that does as there are many that do.

Therefore, until then, I have better things to do that includes having discussions with those who don't use the kind of disingenuous tactics that you're using.

This also I posted in my last post, so it seems that you simply are willing to do almost anything it seems to try and chalk up little debate points. Your church apparently doesn't teach you about Jesus' mandate for us to "love one another", so maybe seek out a church that does as there are many that do.

Loving one another should be practice everyday. When one sees his neighbor in the wrong, inform him about it - you might be saving his life or in some cases his soul.

Loving one another means people should not harm other people like people did during the

The Inquisition was a powerful office set up within the Catholic Church to root out and punish heresy throughout Europe and the Americas. Beginning in the 12th century and continuing for hundreds of years, the Inquisition is infamous for the severity of its tortures and its persecution of Jews and Muslims. Its worst manifestation was in Spain, where the Spanish Inquisition was a dominant force for more than 200 years, resulting in some 32,000 executions.

Loving one another means that people should sexually molest other people like the one we hear today

Catholic Church sexual abuse cases - Wikipedia

Cases of child sexual abuse by Catholic priests, nuns and members of religious orders in the 20th and 21st centuries have led to many allegations, investigations, trials and convictions as well as revelations about decades of attempts by Church officials to cover up reported incidents.[3] The abused include mostly boys but also girls, some as young as three years old, with the majority between the ages of 11 and 14.[4][5][6][7] Criminal cases for the most part do not cover sexual harassment of adults. The accusations began to receive isolated, sporadic publicity from the late 1980s. Many of these involved cases in which a figure was accused of decades of abuse; such allegations were frequently made by adults or older youths years after the abuse occurred. Cases have also been brought against members of the Catholic hierarchy who covered up sex abuse allegations and moved abusive priests to other parishes, where abuse continued.[8][9]

Some don't seem to understand that not everyone in any church is going always do that which is right, and that even included the apostles themselves if one actually reads the gospels. What is immoral, otoh, is blaming an entire body for that which only a very small minority did, although I have long agreed that the Vatican mishandled all too many of these cases.

AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH

I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus.

When I saw her, I was greatly astonished.

List of apologies made by Pope John Paul II - Wikipedia

Pope John Paul II made many apologies. During his long reign as Pope, he apologized to Jews, Galileo, women, people convicted by the Inquisition, Muslims killed by the Crusaders and almost everyone who had allegedly suffered at the hands of the Catholic Church over the years.[1] Even before he became the Pope, he was a prominent editor and supporter of initiatives like the Letter of Reconciliation of the Polish Bishops to the German Bishops from 1965. As Pope, he officially made public apologies for over 100 of these wrongdoings, including:[2][3][4][5][6]

  • The legal process on the Italian scientist and philosopher Galileo Galilei, himself a devout Catholic, around 1633 (31 October 1992).[7]

  • The inactivity and silence of many Catholics during the Holocaust (16 March 1998).[3][4][5][9][10]
  • For the execution of Jan Hus in 1415 (18 December 1999 in Prague). When John Paul II visited Prague in 1990s, he requested experts in this matter "to define with greater clarity the position held by Jan Hus among the Church's reformers, and acknowledged that "independently of the theological convictions he defended, Hus cannot be denied integrity in his personal life and commitment to the nation's moral education." It was another step in building a bridge between Catholics and Protestants.[3][4][5][6]
  • For the sins of Catholics throughout the ages for violating "the rights of ethnic groups and peoples, and [for showing] contempt for their cultures and religious traditions". (12 March 2000, during a public Mass of Pardons).[3][4][5][6]

  • For the actions of the Crusader attack on Constantinople in 1204. To the Patriarch of Constantinople he said "Some memories are especially painful, and some events of the distant past have left deep wounds in the minds and hearts of people to this day. I am thinking of the disastrous sack of the imperial city of Constantinople, which was for so long the bastion of Christianity in the East. It is tragic that the assailants, who had set out to secure free access for Christians to the Holy Land, turned against their own brothers in the faith. The fact that they were Latin Christians fills Catholics with deep regret. How can we fail to see here the mysterium iniquitatis at work in the human heart?".[3][4][5][6]
On 20 November 2001, from a laptop in the Vatican, Pope John Paul II sent his first e-mail apologizing for the Catholic sex abuse cases, the Church-backed "Stolen Generations" of Aboriginal children in Australia, and to China for the behavior of Catholic missionaries in colonial times.[11]

An excuse is worse and more terrible than a lie, for an excuse is a lie guarded.

— Pope John Paul II [12]

In December 1999, at the request of Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, then Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith who would later become Pope Benedict XVI, the International Theological Commission presented its study on the topic Memory and Reconciliation: The Church and the Faults of the Past. The purpose of this document is "not to examine particular historical cases but rather to clarify the presuppositions that ground repentance for past faults." It examines repentance for past faults in the context of sociology, ecclesiology and theology.[13]

Something that the Church has done but you have refused to do. Since forgiveness relies on repentance, the Church is finally doing the right thing-- but not you, as you unapologetically continue with hate-filled bigotry by just pointing out the bad but never mentioning the good.
