The idolatry of Christianity

The idolatry of Christianity is much worse than the idolatry in India!

Many times I hear people saying that the elements of idolatry in Christianity are disappearing. That “they are no longer worshipping wood and stone” and that idol worship of this kind can only be found in India.

In my opinion, this is a tragic error of our generation.

The Christians of our time are worse idol worshippers than the Pharaohs of ancient Egypt.

The reason why?

The Pharaohs didn’t claim that they were replacing the Jewish people.

The Greeks and Romans tortured the Jewish people but didn’t claim that they were superseding them.

But the Christians in our times incredibly believe that G-d has abandoned the Jewish people and made a covenant with them.

This is a major and moronic distortion that is tantamount to idolatry.

It is a presumptuous form of idolatry that no rational person can countenance.

God Himself has resolutely declared that He will never forsake the Jewish people.

This is written in Tehillim Chapter 89:31-35:

If his sons forsake My Torah and do not walk in My judgments,

If they profane My statutes and do not keep My commandments,

I shall punish their transgression with a rod, and their iniquity with blows.

But I shall not cancel My kindness from them, and I shall not betray My faith.

Instead of accepting the Creator’s verdict, you have ridiculously invented a new religion which is a complete falsehood.

God has give you Christians, like the rest of humanity, the Seven Noahide Commandments whose fulfillment will bring you to the Hereafter.

The seven commandments are mentioned in Genesis 2:16 (according to Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch):

1. And commanded = the commandment to set up a system of justice

2. the L-rd = the prohibition of blasphemy

3. G-d = the prohibition of idol worship

4. the man = the prohibition of murder

5. saying, = the prohibition against adultery

6. “Of every tree in the garden” = the prohibition of theft

7. “you may freely eat” = the prohibition to eat a limb of a live animal.

The following are the list of great rabbis and works who discuss the Seven Noahide Commandments:

Maimonides, Rabeinu Bechayei, Me’am Loez, end of Sefer HaChinuch, Torah Temimah, Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch, and the Baal Shem Tov who wrote:

The Jews have guaranteed the nations in the Seven Noahide Commandments.

As resident Bat Noach I can tell you confidently that I wasn't convinced by people telling me how bad my former religion is and hammering the Sheva Mitzvot B'nei Noach at me. It was debating. It took a long time, but I made it.

Perhaps some Christians will be here shortly to debate you and you can explain without sounding like a preacher.

Jesus is prophesied in the OT not as the Messiah, but instead as the modern day idol of Israel. He has been kicked out of Heaven and reincarnated. Isaiah 14:12. He is flammable and this time he will die from bursting into flames. Ezekiel 28:18-19.

Hilarious. You should write comedy books.

I've seen you post about this a few times. Maybe you can give us more information; possibly start an informational thread about it?

I agree that Christians have many unbiblical teachings. If people would remain in what the Bible tells, Christians are also Jews.

But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them, and became partaker with them of the root and of the richness of the olive tree; don't boast over the branches. But if you boast, it is not you who support the root, but the root supports you.
Romans 11:17-18

For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.
Romans 2:28-29

It is sad that Jews and Christians don’t know well what the Bible teaches.

...God has give you Christians, like the rest of humanity, the Seven Noahide Commandments ...

..The Jews have guaranteed the nations in the Seven Noahide Commandments.

It seems to me that you are saying Jews are God. I think that is idolatry.

Alon:

Although you posted your OP in the "General Religious Debates", you and I know that you're not interested in a debate. How do I know? Going to The idolatry of Christianity is much worse than the idolatry in India! (Torah, believe) - - City-Data Forum, I read almost exactly the same post in a Christian forum, dated October 7th, 2018.

Now, I know from your information (which I have no reason to doubt) that you are less than a year younger than I am, that you live in Jerusalem, and that your mother was a Jewess and your father was a British non-Jew. I am an American Gentile. If and when you're interested in sharing stories about צַדִיקִים , let me know.

Your Noachide laws are the Talmudist Pharisee laws.

Jesus didn't mention anything good about your traditions.

Who here doesn't know that Jesus is called by the Talmud an Idol?

~Talmud Unmasked~ Christians Are Idolaters.

I went to an ELCA Lutheran service today solely to do the ritual to remember Jesus, despite the fact that I am open to his being a Prophet who spoke truth. I believe the Romans killed him, not the Jews.

I was put off with the ritualism in the service and now am wondering if tolerating one to do the other is worth it.

It is so sad to me that despite our lofty beliefs that we are quite willing to do unkindness, even murder to each other.

Its amoral and Idolatrous to worship the flesh of Jesus, taking communion to me is worshiping the blood and claiming a flesh and blood man is God is Idolatrous, and praying to Jesus is idolatrous, infact Jesus himself said when you pray pray like this" Our Father who are in Heaven". i don't get how Christians can by pass that,

Blasphemy is a sin against God's person, and his holy nature. Exodus 32:33. "And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book". You also cannot hate God. Proverbs 8:36. It's also deadly to tick him off. Psalm 2:12.

Christianity was originally a Jewish movement, so get mad at yourselves for its existence. That's not to say that Jews are to blame for how they have been treated by Christians since that's inexcusable but it did grow out of a Jewish messianic movement. It was Judaism that introduced the notion that the one true deity of the universe made a special covenant with them and only them, and that everyone else is worshipping false deities. Christianity, Islam, Baha'i and other Abrahamic religions just took that exclusionary and racist idea and ran with it. The Hebrew scriptures demonize every other culture it mentions, including making genocide a divine mandate - a first in human religion, as far as I'm aware. So if Christians are idolaters than Jews are too for making an idol out of their ethnicity or tribe. (The notion that only members of a certain tribe who have to meet a bunch of standards can be priests of Yahweh in the temple is very racist.) You sowed the seed so don't get too mad when others run with it, I guess.

It hasn’t killed the vast majority of blasphemers in this life, and I don’t see any reason to assume that God is so petty that God can’t take a bit of mockery or constructive criticism just because humans are so easily moved to anger over such petty things.

For all it’s evident faults, racism is not an attribute of the Baha’i Faith, nor is having a priesthood.
