Seems to read 'Eli Eli, why have you forsaken me?',
Or, why have you left me, as I read it. Now, these verses mention those waiting or seeking Elijah... why would that be? Because Jesus already said He was conversing with Elijah, earlier. So this does make sense, although, the context is confusing, why would this mean something literal, if it isn't a hymn, as some believe?
Anyways we know that Yahweh was planning His spiritual Sacrifice,
John 10
And Yahweh says He does the Sacrifice of His own authority, so, that has to be taken into context.
