Joshua vs. Ruiz Boxing Breakdown

I'm not a fan of boxing (or sports generally) but have occasionally seen videos of Anthony Joshua on Youtube. He seems like a very down-to-earth grounded sort of guy and that's quite refreshing these days- to see someone respect others, themselves and what it takes to compete. So its often a joy to watch him talk about the sport and how to deal with the ups and downs that come with it. (This video is particular stood out).

So I took a chance to watch the video below of Joshua talking through his match with Andy Ruiz and was quite impressed. It's an interesting insight of the psychology of actually fighting in the boxing ring and being inside the head of someone going through that. It humanises the experience a bit.

Anyway, this seemed worth sharing for anyone interested in sports. Although I am the kind of person who'd run as fast and as far away from a boxing ring as possible, I still found it a revelation so see someone look at their technique and state of mind. That was enlightening and I hope it may be for other too.

Enjoy! :)
