Sex before marriage?????

OK Don't call it lying. It's just you making statements designed to stroke your ego. It makes you feel better about your religious views if you can convince yourself that everyone feels the same way. So you just say stuff that you cannot support because it is unsupportable.
Atheists telling me they would “like” to believe in God has nothing to do with my religious views.
They did not say they would “like” to believe in Baha’u’llah.

Well personally I with a porn addiction am not ready to be involved with a man. Because I was addicted to lust and sensuality I have limits as to what I can do with a man once I get involved. I do not know that i will ever want to have intercourse again. I can do some sexual stuff if its me giving the pleasure, but I can not participate in orgasms myself.

So I may end up alone the rest of my life anyways, but maybe I will find a platonic friendship along the way or an older man who can deal with my situation. I can give sexual pleasure to a man but not interested in receiving it. But if I find someone I will not wait to get married to be physical. I am not sure I even trust any man enough to marry him, I would rather move in with him or have him move in with me.

Once you get married the other person has rights to my finances. Anyways, no i don't find it necesary to get married. I get nervous watching these Investigation Discovery episodes on people who got killed by getting into the wrong marriage.

Of course, I can't speak to your circumstances and if it's too personal, I'll understand if you don't feel comfortable responding. Have you sought therapy for your addiction? Is limiting your own pleasure part of that?

I understand the desire to pursue platonic, non-sexual relationships if you're struggling with a sex addiction and/or are not ready for intercourse.

Even struggling with an addiction, it would seem to me that you are deserving of more than giving of yourself sexually and being deprived of that in return.

A marriage would ideally be founded on mutual respect, commonality, love and support. Legally, a couple can establish financial parameters that are in their best interest, during their marriage of it their marriage were to dissolve.

My intentions aren't to pry or criticize. I just think that if you have a handle on your addiction, and are emotionally healthy for an intimate friendship or relationship, you're deserving of the type of relationship that meets your desires.

Maybe you dont want it to work, that is your problem, i have provided links to validate my comments, you have denied the medical evidence while you have provided emotional argument and misnaming feotus's.

You are assuming those who engage in premarital sex are somehow ignorant, its a very condescending attitude.

The biggest cause of STDs, unwanted pregnancies etc is poor sex education. I already provided statistical maps of America showing the areas of highest incidence... The bible belt,. Education is the key, if you are against education them please be honest enough to admit it rather than wasting 2 weeks on emotional bull.

Please show me where i have made such statements.

The biggest cause of STDs, unwanted pregnancies, etc. is f%$^$#*.

I'm saying yet again, I'm not advocating abstinence education, I'm advocating abstinence.

The concept that you have to f$%^ someone and that a dildo or masturbation cannot relieve a bladder or prostate is not a scientific stance. How do I know? I've have friends who were told by doctors they ought to masturbate for their prostate and they chose personal holiness instead. I respect their trust in Jesus to make them holy, not a statistic.

Sex happens, it is natural and many higher animals engage in sex for pleasure. Saying 'dont do that, you might catch an STD' is rather like trying to swat a swarm of wasps with a matchstick. Surely it is better to say 'if you want to engage in sex then do it safely' i would think that a far better use of your voice.

Frankly, I do not care who wrote Genesis or what is true in scripture and what is allegorical or which experts to trust and which to dismiss, because none of this matters now. The Dispensation of the Bible has been abrogated by the Revelation of Baha’u’llah, so these things are of no more importance in this new age...
As I stated previously, your religion is just like all the rest - out with the old, in with the new.

The writings of Joseph Smith cannot supersede those of Baha’u’llah because Smith came before Baha’u'llah.

Bahai started up ~1844, the same time Joseph Smith was assassinated. Did Ballulah have him assassinated to eliminate competition?

Nothing Baha’u’llah wrote can be superseded until a NEW Manifestation of God comes, and that can be no sooner than 2852 AD.

Unless the next Bahai Messenger says: "God is so upset by our worsening condition that He decided He can not wait until 2852 AD. Therefore, God, in all His Holy Wisdom, sent me to appeal to all people". Betcha it works.

God does not change His mind, God just sends new Messengers who reveal God’s will for the age in which they appear.

If that is the case, do you really believe nothing changes in 1000 years? The world, and it's moral outlook and the ways men have to kill one another is changing much more rapidly than ever before. It makes no sense to think that God would wait 1000 years in these rapidly changing times before updating the Messages.

Realistically, the 1000 year gambit was just a way for Ballulah to ward off would-be usurpers.

I can tell you that on the other forums I go on and even on this forum, atheists have told me they would like to believe in God if they had evidence.

To you Ballulah is God. Which god are you and your atheist friends referring to?

In any case, my comments regarding you stroking your ego, had to do with the fact that you are a god-believer as compared to people who are god-non-believers. From that standpoint, it doesn't matter which god(s) are being discussed. It just makes you feel good that even your atheist friends would readily convert.

Also, the Christian God and the Bahai God are one and the same, aren't they?

I am Trailblazer on that forum, but it is not MY forum.
I guess you just committed the fallacy of jumping to conclusions.

I have no splaining to do because Baha'i Forums is not my forum. It is a Baha'i forum that originates out of Seattle, WA. There are no moderators on that forum, and the owners do not keep track of anything. They have a Report button, but even when I report all that advertising, it does not get removed for a long time and then it just keeps coming back. Imo, Baha'is should not have unmoderated forums like that, it gives people a very bad impression of the Baha'i Faith.

I have my own forum but it has not been very active for a long time because I was too busy on other forums to invite people and have to answer posts there too, but there are a few posters on it right now, all of them nonbeleivers except one occasional Bahai and one occasional Christian. The atheists there keep asking me to invite more people to my forum, so if you want to sign up and post you are welcome to do so. :)

"Jumping to conclusions" am I? You have referred to your forum in at least a half dozen posts. You have invited me to visit your forum so I could discuss things with "your atheist friends". Did you ever post a link to your website? No, you didn't. The only way I had of accepting your invitation, is of finding your website on my own. So, I googled "trailblazer bahai forum".

When you invite people to your website, then it is your responsibility to make sure there is a way for them to get to it. At the very least, you should be aware that there is a Bahai website linked to someone named "trailblazer" and give a heads up.

But even if the site I reached isn't yours, it is a Bahai site. Why is a Bahai site showing links to...

There will not be a “next Baha’i Messenger” because the next Messenger will have a new name.

Any so-called Messenger who comes before 2852 AD is subject to the wrath of God....

“Whoso layeth claim to a Revelation direct from God, ere the expiration of a full thousand years, such a man is assuredly a lying impostor. We pray God that He may graciously assist him to retract and repudiate such claim. Should he repent, God will, no doubt, forgive him. If, however, he persisteth in his error, God will, assuredly, send down one who will deal mercilessly with him. Terrible, indeed, is God in punishing! Whosoever interpreteth this verse otherwise than its obvious meaning is deprived of the Spirit of God and of His mercy which encompasseth all created things. Fear God, and follow not your idle fancies. Nay, rather follow the bidding of your Lord, the Almighty, the All-Wise.”Gleanings From the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, p. 346
If that is the case, do you really believe nothing changes in 1000 years? The world, and it's moral outlook and the ways men have to kill one another is changing much more rapidly than ever before. Humanity has what it needs for at least the next 833 years. Only about 15% of the Tablets of Baha’u’llah have thus far been translated into English, but what we do have translated is most of what we actually need. However, we don’t know what will be translated in the future.

Why would Baha’u’llah care if there were usurpers after He left earth and ascended to the spiritual kingdom? God cared, or God would not have revealed that paragraph above to Baha’u’llah. God cared because God cares about humanity so He does not want false prophets messing up what Baha’u’llah revealed.

Where did you get the idea that I believe Baha’u’llah was God? I certainly don’t. A Manifestation of God is not God.

There is only one true God so the God that Jesus revealed is the same one that Baha’u’llah revealed.

How do you know what would make me feel good? The reason I would feel good is NOT because of my ego, I would feel good because I care about those atheists and they are better off believing in God.

Don’t quote me on this, but as I recall, some of the atheists I mention who came to my forum a long time ago not believing in God now believe there is probably a God. Mind you, they do not believe in Messengers of God, but at least they believe God probably exists. On my forum, there is only one holdout who says god almost certainly does not exist and he says that because God does not DO what he wants God to DO. He and I have been posting back and forth for over five years. I once told him I spend more time with him than I spend with my husband so we may as well get married. Of course I was kidding but he took me seriously and said no way, even after I told him how much money and how many assets I have.

This man has no sense of humor. I guess you would call him a hard atheist. There are not many of those on this forum. It seems rather odd that a hard atheist would spend so much time talking about god. Even on other forums he is on that I no longer post on, where most of the atheists are talking about politics and science and other things, he just wants to talk about the god he does not believe exists.

C’mon over and we can have a party. :) I will even invite my husband who now has his own laptop. He is a diehard Baha’i and he is not as nice as I am to atheists. Next to my forum is a Baha’i forum called Planet Baha’i. It used to be very active but it is pretty much died. But I know several of the Baha’is from there and they might come over to my forum if I invited them.

The Baha’i forum is not linked to me. I am simply a member there so that is why it came up when you Googled it. My forum is not a Baha’i forum. It is a forum for anyone of any beliefs or non-belief.

Well one woman managed to get pregnant without having sex... Or so we are led to believe

Did i say must or is that you just trying to throw emotional bull into the argument again? I said abstinence is shown to be a contributing factor in some health problems.

If course it is clear, it is also clear that it goes against human nature, increase the chance of various health problems including death.

Pre marital abstinence is not going to happen so education will reduce unwanted pregnancy and std.
