Too bad we can't swap parts. Someone doesn't want their breasts? I'll take them! Someone wants testicles, take mine. Or just do brain/body swaps so everything is just right. And while it's not a regeneration, it would be close enough for me to nerd out over my new regeneration as the 2nd me, lol.

Now that he's gone (to me, as I'm now about caught up on Dr. Who), I'm realizing how much I loved 12/Capaldi. He was so angry and violent for the Doctor, but so wise and insightful; bitter and without filter for his mouth, but possessing an unparalleled lust for life while working hard and playing hard. Also way more mature than the other new Doctors, and it wasn't all fun and games like it is to the others. And I loved his outfit (especially his coat), his medium-length gray hair matched everything about him, and his love of dance and music made him maybe as close to a perfect Doctor as we'll ever get. I don't geek out and crush on him like I do 10, but I could see myself being with someone like 12. I will miss him sorely.

I can imagine. Even within the trans community the "inbetweens" are shunned and misunderstood. For a group that is known for pointing out all the "in betweens" that shatter "black and white" expectations of the world, when it comes to gender many of them still want to see it as black and white. And, of course, bisexuals have approximately the same problem from both heteros and homos alike. And for a group that is fond of pointing out "born this way" and "it's not a choice," a good number of them seem remarkably unwilling to accept it when it doesn't concretely swing one way or the other when it comes to sexual orientation.

I still tend to not like the Doctor's companions though, with Martha and Clara still being the only two that I have liked.
But Missy I loved, and I've never really cared for the Master or took much notice of the character until she came along.

I think 13/Whittaker is getting some of the same "new face hate" I was giving Smith after Tenant died and couldnt hold on anymore. I didnt cry when 12 died like I did with 10, but 12 faced it with such grace and dignity (after a fit of rage that shook it off), I feel like shedding tears would disgrace the level of courage he accepted his death with. Embracing all that life has to offer. Like the life loving Nietszche Doctor he is to me.
