Is the parable of the kingdom of god and the talents of self investing in knowledge?

and the one who didn't invest is cast into darkness due to lack of investment in knowledge of god?

And the interesting thing about this parable is that it overtly characterizes God as someone who reaps what He does not sow and we're supposed to be happy about that. I agree with the general "use or lose it" plot, but that one detail in the metaphor (and repeated in several other parables with varying specificity) just leaves me wondering what the hell Jesus was thinking: "God's kind of a royal jerkwad and and evil villain but suck it up".

playing the victim all the time doesn't learn/teach, or teach/learn and apply.

we have no control over another's behavior but we do our own and how we relate to other.

It is literally about talents hence the name the Parable of the Talents. It is about being given talents and not putting them to use.

and gathering knowledge is a talent, they call them teachers when they share the information. knowledge is power. it can be used sts(service to self) or sto(service to other as self).

those who use it as sts, use it to lord over others, to enslave.
