Mueller Hearings

Is anyone else watching?
Yes, till I had to turn it off, I couldn´t take it any more.

I have always had great respect for Mueller, but vhese hearings show he is way, way over the hill, it is sad to watch.

As I suspected, it is apparent that Muellers investigation was driven by his staff, the thirteen highest in his office being democrats.

The whole purpose of this investigation was to determine if the Russians ¨colluded¨ with the Trump campaign. They did not.

So now the issue is obstruction of justice, the investigation was not obstructed in any way. Intent to do something is not criminal, actually doing something is.

I have done many criminal investigations. The role of an investigator is to gather all possible facts, and put them in a concise timeline, then draw conclusions from them. Offer an opinion.

Tee issue of prosecution lies with someone else. If there is a policy regarding prosecution, that should be irrelevant. Gather the facts and draw a conclusion, thatś it.

Muellers report said that Trump could not be exonerated, that is patently stupid in a criminal investigation. It does not exist o exonerate the subject, it exists to determine guilt and at what level.

If Trump warranted prosecution the report should say so, if it cannot be proved then that is it, period.

Mueller has no right to write a 500 page report, then release it, if he did not find a prosecutable offense.

If I investigated a subject for a crime, and the DA said there was not enough evidence to prosecute, and I released my report on the subject, I would at best get reprimanded and have my butt sued off.

If Trump committed a crime, it was up to Mueller to identify it, and prosecute the subject. If he could only be prosecuted after Trump left office, he should have strongly recommended that be done.

He truly failed in doing his job.

Sadly, he looks like a deer in the headlights in his testimony. Being up there myself, I feel sorry for his memory lapses, not understanding the questions, and disputing what his c own report says.

No wonder his 13 democrats and their staff did all; the work, and tailored the results in the report, apparently to support a political agenda..

It is truly a dead horse now, The democrats will keep beating it though, except for massive giveaways, thats all they have.

As to Mueller, a once superb FBI Director and Marine, it is time to take advantage of the retirement he has earned, He is past it. I hope this entire fiasco doesn´t prove to be a blot on his career.

I believe he was referring to Trump saying that he was exonerated
Of course he had the authority, that is the whole purpose of his investigation ! Find a crime, prosecute a crime now, or if it must be deferred, recommend prosecution at a later date.

Taking the cowardly way out, after spending 25 mil. is disgusting.

LIEU (D-CA): The reason, again, that you did not indict Donald Trump is because of the OLC opinion stating that you cannot indict a sitting president, correct?
MUELLER: That is correct.

Rep. Ken Buck: "Could you charge the president with a crime after he left office?"
Robert Mueller: "Yes"
Buck: "You could charge the President of the United States with obstruction of justice after he left office?"
Mueller: "Yes"

So, Mueller is handcuffed and the right believes they have won a grand victory. Since when is allowing criminal acts to proceed without punishment an act of patriotism? Or does it only exist to fluff the right when they have no other outs?

So, you don't think foreign nationals offering a campaign "dirt" is espionage?
No, it isn´t. It is even legal in some instances.

If it were espionage, Clinton, all of her campaign staff, and Christopher Steel would be in the can.

Perhaps it should be.

That is contrary to his report, the evidence. The poor old guy is confused and mis speaks, it is totally apparent.

A Republican questioner on that very question read what the report said, and asked Mueller if he had changed his mind regarding the statement in the report, he said no.

Mueller was NEVER handcuffed. If he identified a crime and a suspect he should have said so and recommended later prosecution.

He weaseled out of doing the specific job he was hired for.

In the law, no prosecution means no crime proved, end of story.

This whole mess is falling apart minute by minute. Mueller has earned his retirement, just go, you failed.

You aren´t talking about the report paid for by Clinton written by the Russians and Steele which has been proven to be totally bogus, are you ?

Wait wait wait... you want to claim it is because he is an old guy who is confused and misspeaks? Exqueeze me but your president thought soldiers from 1776 stormed an airport.
