I just think that people who think the accounts of Jesus are myth ought to educate themselves so they don't look like fools when they hop out here.

Why is that so important? Because no matter how hard anyone tries, there's probably never going to be any proof of God's existence. And we know God doesn't like having to prove himself:
Matthew 4:7 - Wikipedia
John 20:29.

I didn't say "teaching abstinence or promoting abstinence" I said "abstinence".

Abstinence is 100% effective. Argue against that--I'm open.

So where does the idea of abstinence come from? It has to be learned somewhere, it is not a natural counter to hormones.

Successful in what? promoting sexual frustration, ruining lives, population decline?

There's plenty of evidence for the existence of the God of the Bible. All other supposed deities fall far short in comparison. And the opinions and laws of the Biblical God are important to the well being of creation.

Those are only your subjective beliefs. There's no objective evidence. But let's analyze them item by item:
  1. Evidence for the existence of the God of the Bible. What is this evidence?
  2. Describe the shortfalls of other deities. How are they no less real than the God of the Bible?
  3. Why are the Biblical God's laws important to the well being of creation?

There's the resurrection of Jesus Christ as one evidence.

And there's the Messianic Prophecies of Jesus in the Gospels that were fulfilled at a rate astronomically higher than chance.

And there's others but I'll cite those two as the signatures of God.

Confirmation bias is running strong today

Because i (or anyone) said so is not evidence

Because the bible says so is not evidence

I can help you out with that if you want to really be informed, instead of being misled.

Prove the resurrection happened. What is the physical and archaeological evidence?

Prove that the Messianic Prophecies were fulfilled. What is the physical and archaeological evidence?

There is no evidence that JC resurrected

Funny that the Jewish religion does not consider the Messianic Prophecies anywhere near fulfilled

Interestingly the accolade for the highest rate of STDs and pregnancy of unmarried girls/women and poverty in America is the held by the bible belt?

Aha, that makes sense. "Bible God" of course knew what would happen at "Bible Belt"
Hence "Bible God" gave them so much advice on sex and stuff

You got it, but they didn't listen

You are right. They did not listen, but for sure they did something.

One thing is easy now. If a Christians starts preaching about "No sex before marriage" to me again, I will direct them to the Bible Belt + Luke 6:41-42 (about hypocrites: speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and plank in their own eye)
Luke 6:41-42 New International Version (NIV)
41 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 42 How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

That's all nonsense. Jesus father was God (Jeremiah 23:5-6 etc., and God the Holy Spirit in Matthew). No cigar for you.

I use that same passage quite often when hypocrisy rears its head

Thats your belief, only the bible is mythology and a gravestone is as solid as it gets.

Try reading Jewish scripture, not the cherry picked christian stuff

Why you call it "weakness"? Feels bad to me (belittling and demeaning). Why not call it healthy sex appetite towards same-sex attraction?
Or you also call it "weakness" towards non-same-sex attraction? Then I understand why you use "weakness"
Anything about us that makes us more susceptible to any particular sin is a "weakness".

Sexual appetites are a "weakness" when they are expressed outside the bounds of marriage.

And, according to the Lord, marriage can only be between a man and a woman.

Anything other than sexual relations between a husband and wife are sinful activities.

I am not trying to belittle or demean anyone. Especially when you consider that I (as well as all other human beings) are full of various "weaknesses".

We are all in the same boat.

Bible verses sometimes come in handy. And the good thing is, that we need only a very few verses, to deflect Christian "Hell Spell" attacks

Thank you. That's a good "insight" to acknowledge that we are all in the same boat, having our own weaknesses.

My Master said, when asked about "how often sex" ... 1 child is enough. So even within "normal" marriage He advised a kind of huge restriction on sex. Gay people might cheer up with this "1 child" advice, but His other advice was "Having been born, you can try out anything you like, but just do it once". Once you have experienced something, why do it again? Keep on learning new things.

Not an easy advice to follow, I do like "white chocolate and icecream"

There's plenty of evidence for the existence of the God of the Bible.
My Master said "The image people have of God is not true, that is all their imagination"
Even the Bible says that we should not make an image of God
"God of the Bible" ... is already making an image of God

All other supposed deities fall far short in comparison.
You make a very big claim here. One that you can never prove, unless you are Omniscient
You studied "ALL" other deities to be able to make such a claim?
(was a rhetorical question of course ... too many deities for you)
