Believers in Abrahamic religions, do you think God will unite all religions in the end?

Do you think that only one religion is true? Do you think the other Abrahamic faiths have some truth in it but have been corrupted?

I believe that the three big Abrahamic religions are the 3 big revelations by God and that when new revelation comes we will eventually unite in one big religion. I don't know how it will happen but I believe it will.
When that moment comes there will be just one religion on earth and only non believers will still exist because God gives them freewill.
But I believe it will be clear to all believers at that point that only the God of Abraham is true and that it was all part of one revelation.

Everyone will probably convert to some form of Christianity once Christianity has solved all of the worlds problems. Who wouldn't? So once everybody has turned their weapons into farm implements and pollution is gone and war is over and people are living really, really long happy and fulfilled lives that's probably what will happen. Of course SOME people think the current Christians will be hoovered up, the rest of the world molested by Satan, and then everybody will get punishments and rewards. That form of Christianity is probably not going to be it I think.

When the Messiah comes, he will unite the Jews in one common set of beliefs. Isaiah 52:8. "...for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord shall bring again Zion". In the end, only Christianity and Judaism will exist. All other religions will disappear. Salvation will come down to belief. The last judgment will be on the heathen, or unbelievers. Joel 3:12. "Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen roundabout". All who fight against the Messiah and Jerusalem will burst into flames. Zechariah 14:12. "And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord shall smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth".

Zecharhia 14:12 is written in the past tense.. In 70 AD Syrians, Egyptians and Arabs who were part of the Roman Empire fought against Jerusalem with the Roman troops of Titus.

  • How many heathen do you think there will be who "come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat"?
  • How large do you think the valley of Jehoshaphat is?
  • Going to be a tight fit, don't you think?

"In the end"??

Babylonian Talmud: Tractate Sanhedrin

Folio 105a

"The ministering Angels exclaimed before the Holy One, blessed be He, 'Sovereign of the Universe! If David comes, who slew the Philistine and gave possession of Gath to thy children. [and complains at Thy giving a share in the world to come to Doeg and Ahitophel], what wilt thou do with him?' He replied, 'It is My duty to make them friends with each other.'

Sometimes prophecies are written in the past tense. This was to emphasize their inevitability. This prophecy has not been fulfilled yet. The judgment by fire has not happened. If you read the rest of the chapter, it refers to the death and resurrection of the Messiah. You're cherry picking a verse.

Christianity may not have Boardwalk and Park Place Ave, but its got the Yellow and Purple properties, one of the green ones and both utilities. And Christians never land on Boardwalk.

On Judgment Day, 97% of earth's inhabitants will be cut off by fire. Isaiah 24:6. "Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left". A few is 3, but I think it means 3%. If there are 7 billion people on earth today, about 210 million will survive this. I call this "Judgment Day" because it will affect most of earth's inhabitants. The wicked and the guilty will be cut off. Judgment Day is the day you die. About half of those left are called the "heathen". Daniel 7:10. "...thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened". The Book of Life will contain the names of those who love and fear the God of Israel. Malachi 3:16. There will be 100 million left to witness the resurrection.

That's really interesting...

When I read "unite religions", i actually understood it as "unite religions into one religion". But I actually added the last part in my head. I probably shouldn't have down that.

Thanks for pointing this out.

Get ready to update your numerical estimates: Population Clock
  • Current, rough estimate of world's population: about 7,584,000,000 and rising.
  • 3% of 7,584,000,000 and rising = 227,520,000 and rising.
  • Half of 227,520,000 and rising = about 113,760,000 and rising.
  • If that half are heathen, somebody is going to have to fit about 113,760,000 people and rising into the Valley of Jehoshaphat.
  • Tight fit, don't you think?
  • Better happen soon, ... the population's increasing and increasing faster. Not much motivation for those who share your belief to breed, is there? Why bring children and babies into the world to endure the tribulation and Judgement Day.

Bottom line: 3% will survive Judgment Day. Of those left, 100 million will survive to witness the resurrection. Ten thousand times ten thousand. Exodus 20:6, Exodus 34:7, Deuteronomy 5:10, Jeremiah 32:18, Daniel 7:10.

As an Abrahamic liberal I do not believe we will ever be united in one religion. I believe instead we will learn to be united in diverse religions, in other words there will be peace amongst religions, but they will not have uniform beliefs.

In the New World Order there will be a one world government and a one world religion. This will mainly be Judaism and a mixture of the Truth that is found in all religions.

I believe we will eventually have a fairly decentralised minimalist type world government, but humanity is simply too diverse to agree on one religion.

There will also be a single one world language. This will be English, it is the most widely spoken second language in the world. Zephaniah 3:9. "For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve him with one consent".
