Was Abraham a Jew ?

Abraham's father and mother were Horites (Canaanites)..
That's a proverb. The prophet says "Cause Jerusalem to know her abominations" and then says she has other nations as parents because she worships false gods.

She is also called Babylon for the same reason.

You didn't understand the explanation...????

All the patriarchs who submitted to God are considered Muslim.
BS pal!
Muslims never existed before Muhammad.
This is some silly claim Muhammad invented to glorify himself.
The only religion in the Middle east close to Islam, is Ba'Allah worship which is pagan.
Abraham never worshipped a Allah, but YHWH!
To say Abraham was a Muslim is totally erroneous, but blasphemous.

No.. This may help.

Genesis 36:20 Commentaries: These are the sons of Seir the Horite, the inhabitants of the land: Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah,

They really weren't cave dwellers exactly. They cut their dwellings into limestone rock.

Samuel's father was a priest with two wives, Hannah and Peninnah. It was the custom for Horite ruler-priests to have two wives. One was a half-sister (as was Sarah to Abraham) and the other was a patrilineal cousin or niece (as was Keturah to Abraham). The first wife was the sister bride, married at a fairly young age.

Abraham was a Syrian by birth and is referred to as such in the Bible. Even Jacob, his grandson, is still referred to as a Syrian in Deuteronomy 26:5. The word Hebrew is first mentioned in Genesis 14:13, where Abraham is called Abram the Hebrew.

Genesis 14:6

and the Horites in their Mount Seir, to Elparan, which is by the wilderness.

Nope,
Peleg, Reu, Serug, Nahor, Thera, Abraham.
not Joktan Abraham.
Abraham was a Semite, from Heber, from there a Hebrew.

Terah was a Horite priest who married a Horite woman.

Do you see Seir on the map?

According to scripture Abraham was a Hebrew being a descendant of Heber who was a descendant of Shem, a son of Noah... Before the God of Israel was called such, he was the God of the Hebrews. And before that it is said "Blessed be the God of Shem". Christ is a son of Shem.
When God changed Jacob's name to Israel, he is called the God of Israel.

Terah or Térach is a biblical figure in the Book of Genesis, son of Nahor, son of Serug and father of the Patriarch Abraham, all descendants of Shem's son Arpachshad. Terah is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible and New Testament.

Peleg gets his name from the earth being divided. it was during his day that God confounded the languages so that the people would spread out and fill the earth. From then they would be known from where they lived.
But Abraham is a son of Shem and Heber. And being a son of Heber he is a Hebrew.

Nope!
Abraham was not a Jew, but called a Hebrew because of his forfather Heber.
Abraham was also not a Muslim!
He left the pagan lands where Ba'allah, Allat and manat was worshipped.
Hubal was the religion of the fathers of the Arabs, who is simply called, Allah of the Moon!
This is the first ancient statue of Hu'Ba'Allah that was discovered in hazor in the 60's dating to 1400 BC
Note the pagan worship identified by the Pagan Moon crest on his chest. islam still uses it, and they dont know where it comes from.
Abraham worshipped YHWH, not Allah.
On YHWH's instruction these idols were destroyed by the sword, notice the decapitation of Allah's head by the hands of Joshua!
Anyhow, If I were to give you islamic evidence that Abraham was never a Muslim, he could not utter the shahadah.
because Muhammad was not born for 2 200 years!

Gad you are thick. Jews once worshipped the Canaanite pantheon.

Abraham's father was TERAH not Heber... Do you know the meaning of Semite?

Do you know that Petra was the Greek name for Seir AKA Edom?

The Tower of Babel is a myth about the decline of literacy .. Its a fall of civilization thing.

Sooda, They're right.

According to Midrash Rabbah Bereishis ( 42:8):

Abraham came from Eber ( seven generations back ) who was "a great prophet and a very righteous man. In giving Abraham his pedigree, The Torah specifically mentions Eber ( and not any other ancestor ) because Abraham emulated the righteousness of Eber.

Genesis 11:31
Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there.

Sooda, this does not negate the opinion that Abraham came from Eber.

They are claiming Abraham's father was Eber or Heber.. and that's wrong. His father was Terah.

Six generations after Heber, Abraham was born to his line, so Abraham was both a Hebrew and a Semite.

I re-read the quote and they said "Forfather". I understood that as "ancestor".

I think you need to be honest. You discounted the entire premise. And you were quite rude about it.
