Military chiefs warn Trump not to politicize

Trump spoke too long wrapped himself in jingoisms and the flag. Today was all about Trump's ego.
Whatever you say. :) Did you watch his speech?
Others disagree. :)
He's America's president. The flag wraps around him and all American's. That's not a fault.

Trump is ordering the military to put on a show at the 4th of July celebration and will politicize the military.

The Military chiefs are not happy with him. There is a law against this, they are saying he could get himself into trouble.

Considering the fact that the Military is starting to turn against Trump I really don't understand how Republicans can be up here claiming he will win 2020.

President Trump's July 4th event slammed as politicizing the military - CNN Video

You're a slow learner...He will make it about himself and nothing will happen....

He's stupid and arrogant.

Have you ever thought that his whole persona might be an act, and behind it, there sits one of the most brilliant minds of the 21st century?

Trump could be a modern day Leonardo Da Vinci for all we know. Or a master dramatist like William Shakespeare, leading the nation *in character*.

My money is on stupid, arrogant and terminally insecure with an obsessive need to dominate other men.

I'm not sure how they define "politicizing" in this instance. As far as I can tell, anytime someone says "support the troops" or "they fight for your rights," that's politicizing the military.

Do note there were no tanks nor bradleys in the parade this year.

Support the troops isn't politicizing independence day considering it was a revolution involving armed forces against a tyrannical government with it's own armed forces. Dems say support the troops too. Dems tried to spin a narrative which didn't happen. Nothing more.

Uh you really believe the Military is thrilled with working a full day today for the President in Washington instead of celebrating like the rest of the country? I think your crazy if you believe that. Its trully not fair to our Military, I feel for them.

Did I say that? Nope. You just couldn't find a citation if your life depend upon it.

Ahem.........

That was WW2. Most people would make an exception especially a victory parade. Hence why I cited inaugurations with military hardware present. Trump had how many tanks present during his? Zero. How many people do you hear claiming JFK is promoting fascism by his use? Zero. It's just a narrative spun by those with TDS. After all all those people claiming he is a fascist are not in prison as fascist imprison and/or kill opposition. History is pretty clear on this.

Obviously not when you are so angered by it.
I know you want to believe that you're "getting the libies goat" an all: that's big fun for the conservative ignoramus crowd, I guess, but you're not. I'm just pointing out that you completely missed my point. Which you completely missed again, by the way.

Duly noted.

Since when are revolutions deemed "apolitical"? Labeling another government "tyrannical" is also a political statement. Not that there's anything wrong with being political, so I'm not sure why anyone would feel the need to deny that something is political when it is. War is political, too.

It was the 4th of July....... Perhaps you need to look it up? Trump didn't turn into into anything about modern politics. He was talking about history which every POTUS has done for centuries.

Labeling another government "tyrannical" is also a political statement.

No it was a statement of fact. Go read the background of the revolution.... The UK didn't become a representative democracy until decades after the US. The UK had no free speech.

Not that there's anything wrong with being political, so I'm not sure why anyone would feel the need to deny that something is political when it is. War is political, too.

War involves politics by definition. He didn't turn the issue into one of modern politics but of historical facts.

Remember the claim is that he was going to politicize the event turning it into a campaign rally. That didn't happen.

LOL. Classic projection: you're accusing me of doing what you just did. Hilarious.
