Seeking the middle path..
Looking again, I see a possibility that your intentions are not as malicious as I was beginning to think they were. Considering that possibility, for now I will only say that some of what you’re saying about me looks false and vilifying to me.
There’s Occam’s Razor and then there’s my favorite, Hanlon’s Razor. Not everyone, in fact most everyone IMO, who appears “false and vilifying” is not that way. They’re simply foolish.

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

Usually this is applied to large organizations like governments, corporations and religions but it also applies to people. Most people, IMO, are good and mean well but they are blind to their own faults so their intentions may appear different to others.

Seeking the middle path..
Some things that I’m trying to do are:
- Continually improve my own practice of the kinds of attitudes and behavior that I want to promote.
- Learn to be a better friend to more people.
- Learn to tell stories that will inspire people to want to improve their own attitudes and behavior.
- Help with the growth and spread of healthier, happier, more loving communities.
- Bring all that up for discussion sometimes.
- Recognize and appreciate the community service that other people do in these forums.

I’ve already done that many times, in many places, but I’ll repeat it here. I think that people will learn more and more to use Internet discussions to get ideas and encouragement from each other, in whatever good they’re doing and hoping to do. I also think that they will learn more and more to stop projecting religious stereotypes onto people and drawing lines of alienation between themselves and others, defined by what they think people believe and don’t believe. Some ways that I think that anyone who wants to can help with that are:
- Continually improve their own practice of the kinds of attitudes and behavior that they want to promote.

I see a light in science, and in some religions, that I think the world and all its people need. One way I think that people might be able to see that light is to look past all the things that people think they know that they call “science,” and all the things they think they know from their scriptures, to the human stories of discoveries in science, and to the stories that the religions tell about themselves.

I think that the best thing that can happen to anyone, and what the world needs most of all, is for people to learn to love and follow that light, following a master teacher in a religion where they see that light, along with some other people who see it.

I don’t have any plan for making a homogeneous and passive forum world.
All good things and I think that is the intent of most religions. Well, at least the original intent. Some seem to have strayed off the guidelines of their own faith as world and national events prove. ISIS would be one example, the KKK is another.

Considering that possibility, for now I will only say that some of what you’re saying about me looks false and vilifying to me.
There are two ways: acting seemingly good, but having not so pure intention. And having good intention, but not skilled verbal and bodily.
And, in relation of the fist, there is simply unwise and useless acting, based on wrong view, how ever one wishes to have a river flowing upwardly.

It's up to Brahmans own investigation, and since not giving much of which he could eventually caught in, not easy a possibility to help him seeing more clearly.

So if he is serious in his purpose, my person might always approach volunteer, but public, and not even a need to give something in advanced.

My person, of course intented that Brahman get's more seen how he possible appears ...
If there are things that you think I might need or want to know about how I might appear, it’s okay with me if you message me privately about that. If you continue to vilify me in public, I will stop responding to your posts.

My person does principal not communicate private. My person has no lose if Brahman Jim wouldn't response and it should not be thought that there are any means to leave good ways.

Post's here are not only for Brahman since others, not involved can possible gain much more of it as Brahman himself. Again a matter of stinginess (in regard of ones honour), such fearful approach.

shall we then run together like horses?
or creep like turtles?

how about …..flight?
I don’t remember where we left off. As I’ve said to others, and maybe to you, whatever you’re trying to do, if you’d like to be able to do it better, and if you think it might help to have people to talk to about it, I’m volunteering to be one of them. I’m curious about your writing style, and I’d like to know more about it, but I don’t know what to ask. I’ve seen people doing something like that, and calling it “poetry.” Do you think of it as poetry? Until now I’ve made very little effort to understand it, but one word that comes to mind is “enigmatic.” Do you have to think about it much, or does it just come out that way naturally?

I think you said something like working through your beliefs and the beliefs of others? I try not to have any beliefs, but I’m very interested in the beliefs of others. Part of my reason for being in forums has always been trying to see the truth in the beliefs of people whose views seemed most contrary to mine. I spent some time in a forum where people were debating about Trinity doctrine. Some were debating from a Trinitarian view, and some were debating from what they called a Oneness” view, denouncing Trinity doctrine. I had an amazing epiphany or two. One thing I learned is that it’s misleading to think of the God of Abraham as monotheistic. He is is not one God, or three, or even zero. He has no number.

Be your own guru
I was worse, I believed my (former) guru, was the highest incarnation ever.
The guru made the same claim. We used to sing in arti "Bible, Gita, the Quaran sing the glory of Your Name etc.
If I got cured, others can as well.
Thank Allah for his small mercies. I am not sure about your last statement. Some get cured, some develop chronic ailment. :)

ok.....technique can be a pry bar too heavy to pick up

gotta have some strength to start with

and even if you can lift the steel
do you have what it takes to apply it?

theology is much the same

looking for that pivot point
find the tool to wedge into it
and then the strength to move the stone
Is that about prying people’s theology loose? Have you read The Silent Language?

In non-internet life, face-to-face interactions, I notice all sorts of instances of what I consider to be poor modes of thinking. People asserting things or wholeheartedly believing things (to the point that they merely state something, expecting you to be 100% on-board with their ideas) without proper warrant, and with what I believe to be a very passive acceptance of their thoughts as valid without having thought about them very deeply. This includes things such as racism, poor treatment of children, conspiracy theorizing, flaunting certain behaviors that would prove the person extremely foolish and even possibly evil to the vast majority of the rest of humanity, and, of course, religious preaching and proselytizing. The latter, in recent years, has become much more mild, and the people who I experience proselytizing have, for the most part, stopped trying to be so aggressive with it - though I still run into the oddball now and again who will do something like tell me I am going to hell, or at least strongly hint at it.

Anyway, I noticed that in these "real life" situations, people will shy away from, or superficially acquiesce to points I make, or leave conversations altogether, apparently writing me off for some of the ideas I share with them. In other words, I don't get very deeply into a conversation with people where I am attempting to question their stance and point out what I feel are the flaws in it, before they are running away, or employing tactics to try and discredit me or perform some other style of escape.

On the internet, however, because it is anonymous, people are more willing to go further into things a bit - even if they ultimately end up employing some of the same tactics of escape - it is usually deeper into the conversation, and more gets said more easily and freely. So that is why I come here, or to forums in general. To release some of the tension that builds up in not being able to question and critique people's ideas, and try to get them to see what I believe are the errors in certain modes of thinking. To hone my ability to quickly come back at people with analogies, or thought exercises or examples that lay bare such flaws. And to also correct my own thinking if there are things I am currently in acceptance of for which I do not have sufficient warrant. For example, I have changed my mind in certain ways on such topics as abortion and veganism/vegetarianism based on conversations here, changing my positions to more moderate ones that encompass more rational acceptance of fact, rather than any gut reactions to what I believe is "right" or "wrong."
I don’t remember answering this. If you would like to be able to do that better, and you think it might help to have some people to talk to about that, I’m volunteering to be one of those people. I’ll be thinking about what I might do if I wanted to try to improve the way people think. Meanwhile, here’s my all-purpose strategy for trying to help improve people’s behavior:
- Continually try to improve my own practice of the behavior I’m trying to promote.
- Learn to be a better friend to more people.
- Learn to tell stories that inspire people to want to improve their behavior.
- Help with the growth and spread of healthier, happier and more loving communities.
- Bring all that up for discussion sometimes.

I don’t think I answered this. If you would like to be able to procrastinate better, and if you think it might help to have people to talk to about that, I’m volunteering to be one of them.
You want to help me procrastinate? You’re weird.

Well, if that’s the best thing you can think of to do here .., I’m looking for the best in each person. I was joking, but if you seriously would like to have some people to talk to about how to procrastinate better ... hm ... yes, I would still volunteer fo be one of those people. For example, maybe you would like to make better use of your time while you’re procrastinating.

I've used this forum to help me think. I've used it to do Bible study on Genesis and Matthew. I was hoping to finish so that I could write a book but I'm not there yet...got "distracted" by the Mahabharata.
If you would like to be able to do that better, and if you think it might help to have people to talk to about that, I’m volunteering to be one of them. I’ve studied the whole Bible a lot, and thought about it a lot. If it isn’t a secret, what’s the book about?

The great thing about procrastinating is that you're actually doing something. You're procrastinating.

My grandson, when he was procrastinating about doing his household chores assigned to him by his parents taught me that. I went to his room, him immersed in a book, and asked him what he was doing. Fully knowing why I was actually there, he smiled at me, "I'm procrastinating."

I’m pretty sure most people are here to procrastinate. Anyway... I’m good thanks.

I’ve always thought of it as socializing and entertainment, but now that you mention it ... yes, I can see that a lot of it might be procrastinating.
