Unmistakeable signs of spiritual awakening -

With spiritual awakening and enlightenment comes a dramatic reduction of the inner noise of our thought-chatter. In our normal state, this streams through our mind almost constantly — a whirl of associations and images, worries and daydreams that only usually stops when our attention is absorbed in external things. This thought-chatter is such a normal part of our experience that many of us take it for granted. We’re so immersed in it — and so identified with it — that we don’t even realize it’s there, and we certainly don’t realize how powerfully it affects us. It disturbs our inner world, giving rise to negative thoughts and emotions. It disconnects us from the essence of our being, constantly reinforces our ego-identity, and strengthens our sense of separateness.

You're the treasure at the end of the soft rainbow's magic glow
What I seek and have found, what I question and already know
You're the music in the stillness that wakes the soul from sleep
Where I'm at and I'm going, what is plain to see and buried deep

Greetings all!

Hope you're all well.

I thought it might be a nice idea to have at least one thread at the forum totally dedicated to hope and positivity!

I may be a dreamer but I'm not the only one.

So, feel perfectly free to share your thoughts, quotes, jokes, poems and links.

Anything at all. I don't mind.

Just as long as it is hopeful and positive.

Have a great day!
Despite some truly tragic and horrible events in the human past, it seems we’re always on the path to improvement. Sometimes it’s “Two steps forward then one step back”, but it’s still progress. Given what we’re working with, I think that’s the best we can expect. :)

From selp help unhappy - another hunch -

Be your own psychologist and discover the deeper causes of your feelings. Use the self-exploration process to follow your emotions to the heart of any problem affecting your happiness. Focus on the emotion, note associated thoughts and images, and track the general, underlying themes of your thoughts. Once you discover the root causes of your problems, use your higher beliefs and a good problem-solving process to resolve the problem. Choose to be happy by choosing the alternative that maximizes happiness.

Or the whole book itself -

Happiness is an emotion that includes many shades--from peace and tranquility to joy and ecstasy Unhappiness includes all negative emotions--from depression, apathy, and sadness to anxiety, guilt, and anger. These negative emotions are commonly called “stress.” People who feel stress are more susceptible to many kinds of mental and physical illness--including infection, viruses, AIDs, cancer, and cardiovascular disease. For example, studies have shown that people with prolonged anger or depression are more than twice as likely to have a heart attack as the general population! They are also more likely to die afterward. Researchers have also found that getting control of negative emotions and feeling happier can have a powerful effect on these diseases.
