I had a Vision

I had a vision in which I was going to die. There was an ocean beneath me with very rough, dark waters and at the center of this was a cyclone/whirlpool. Then there appeared another cyclone/whirlwind descended from the clouds of Heaven and situated directly above the one in the water. I was sucked into and in between the mouths of the two cyclones and there were tremendous Forces pulling down on me that penetrated my entire body. But I was held in place and dark, geometric shapes were pulled out of me, went down the drain, and there was a loud "boom". All of the suffering I had ever experienced was removed and I was lighter, both my color and weight. Then I floated upward through the eye of the Tunnel/whirlwind and at the top there was tremendous (son)light which seemed to originate from the southeast. Numbers 12:6. "...If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream". Joel 2:28. "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophecy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions".

Interesting. What was your state of consciousness when this vision took place?

This vision was just like "near death experience". My calling began in August, 1983 and I had the vision in October, 1983 when I was 22 years old. I had just finished a bath and I was watching the water drain/spin when I had the vision. It was just like a dream except I was awake. It is said the mentally ill are "the chosen". My Holy Book is the Hebrew Bible and my God is the living God of Abraham.

I was completely awake and lucid. My calling began in August, 1983 and this vision was caused by the Holy Spirit. It ran through my mind in a matter of seconds and I was blinded by it, it was all I saw. Afterwards, all I could say was "Wow".

Such an experience, as I understand it, can be very brief, but very moving, to the point that it changes some people's lives forever. Clearly in had a significant impact given you are able to recount it so vividly 36 years later.

A couple of follow-up questions, if you will. You mention a few Bible verses in the thread, and I'm not clear how these are relating to your experience. Were these part of the vision itself or what you found later when you were seeking to understand the experience? In the last 36 years, have you gained any understanding into the experience or the meaning of the imagery?

I have read the OT a hundred times and parts of it a thousand times. The scriptures are fluid in my mind and the verses I quoted apply to me. I believe I am God's prophet and messenger and I live to serve him. I know there is life after death and that whatever happens, I am going to Heaven. The vision has given me a lot of strength. I am a fundamentalist and I take the scriptures at their plain literal meaning. I only read the OT, KJV.

Dreams are just that ,dreams. I get where the experiences can be profound though.

It reminds me of a vivid dream I had once where I found myself within the space between atoms. It was a creepy bizarre universe as if everything went negative and polarized. It was like I was under water but it was a dry environment, it was all empty space and silhouettes replaced plants, animals, and other creatures that swam around me to and fro.

One of my short stories I wrote is based on that dream.

Maybe you should write about yours.

There is a difference between a dream and a vision. Dreams you have when you are asleep, and visions you have when you're awake. I am waiting for God to speak to me in a dream. I call the first "Day of the Lord" VWD Day. It stands for Vengeance, Wrath, and Destruction. All of the Messiah's enemies will be cut off by fire, spontaneous combustion. Psalm 37:20. "...the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume: into smoke shall they consume away". Psalm 97:3. "A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about". This will mainly be a judgment on the corrupt legal system in the city where the Messiah lives. Psalm 141:6. "When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet". Isaiah 10:1-4. "Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed..." This will include the judges, magistrates, police, sheriffs, lawyers, clerks, all the way down to the 911 operators. The Messiah will have the power to throw a lightning bolt. Isaiah 30:30. "...and shall shew the lighting down of his arm..." Isaiah 14:29. "...and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent".

Do you believe Jesus was divine in any way or sent by God? If not, why not?

Very nice. So, you are a would-be prophet and YHWH will soon speak to you in dream or send an angel. Good, it has been a long time since the last prophet.

My beliefs about Jesus are not going to be popular with Christians. Jesus is Satan's counterfeit messiah. I believe in his second coming but he's been kicked out of Heaven and reincarnated. Isaiah 14:12. His name was changed to Lucifer when he died and went to Heaven. Lucifer means "morning star" and that was who Jesus claimed to be. Revelation 22:16. Christianity is called "the great transgression". Psalm 19:13. Jesus is prophesied in the OT not as the Messiah, but instead as the modern day idol of Israel. He will be the leader of the "sons of darkness". I do not believe Jesus rose from the dead, if he did, he's a Zombie. Christianity is not monotheistic. If God is three-in-one, he suffers from a "multiple personality disorder".

Sounds like you could be on the guestlist, as had the same visions before i was 3 years old; I'd dream the Tribulation, which is the accelerated winds globally before the cleansing.

I thought I was the only one to have memories before the age of three! In the summer of 1964, at Santa Monica Beach in California, I was saved from drowning by a dolphin. I was two years old. A big wave crashed over my head and swept me out to sea. A dolphin got underneath me and lifted up my head above water. I rode him like a horse to some rocks that were several hundred yards off shore. He bucked me off his back and I came in on a wave onto the rocks. A man on the beach with binoculars spotted me and my father came out on a raft and got me. I consider this a miracle but it's not unique. Dolphins are known to do this.
