He was in synagogues and in rural areas. He was a teacher, one among many. he attracted people but was not out there yelling on the streets.
Right, it's about volume. o_O
It's like the story of Noah pre-deluge. He shouted and warned the people that the Lord was going to cleanse the world with a great flood. And all who would be saved should enter the ark.
Those within hearing distance scoffed, shouted him down, called him crazy.
Till that first raindrop struck their face.
When it started to pour the family were all inside the ark and in safety. While the damned, the scoffers, the fallen, the wicked, were screaming to be let in long after it was too late to hearken to the call to salvation.

Jesus was not one teacher among many.
When Jesus was in the streets his works spoke volumes. He healed the blind, embraced and healed the leper. Made the lame to walk. And raised the dead.
And in the street before the temple he overturned the money changers tables and took after them with a whip he'd made by hand. Because they were defiling the house of the Father. That was quite a scene.

So along comes some random old guy who's going on about hiw god is going to flood the Earth. Their is no real reason or evidence to believe him. And yet despite nothing concrete for people to see because for all they know this old kook is schizophrenic, then the rain happens and then its too late. Sounds rather cruel, to me (and how did Noah, who came before Moses, know ehat animals were clean amd unclean?)

I would have thought to answer you. And of course rebut the lie that Noah was Schizophrenic. However, I see from your signature invocation that your prayers have been answered.
Therefore, the effort would have been folly.

I didnt say he was, but rather suggested that he was for all anyone he was warning knew. Of course they wouldnt though, because they didnt know about it then, but its the same point that there is no valid or logical reason to believe someone who says god is going to destroy all life/end the world. Just look at how many people have over the past 100 years, all of which obviously didnt happen. So people basically get no tangible warning and are killed off anyways once they are provided with the evidence to give them reason to change their ways.

It is a sad state of affairs when speaking about Christ is offensive to people who live in a supposedly "Christian" society....

Life is conditional from the Bible's perspective

Who says it's a "Christian society"? o_O

My life isn't based on the Bible.

But delivering the Christian message is incumbent on all of Christ's followers.

I think the western world (and I dare not start a **** storm about the deplorable behavior of Christian missionaries in India) pretty much knows who Jesus is. I think his preachers can tone it down a few thousand decibels.

I was speaking about Canada where this incident took place.

I never said I condoned the loudspeaker. JW's preach their message quietly. If people do not want to listen, we quietly move on. It's about delivering a message, not Bible bashing people who don't want to know. (Matthew 10:11-15)

The "deplorable behavior" of "Christian" missionaries in India is proof that they were not Christians at all. Christians are identified by their conduct, which should demonstrate love, kindness and all the qualities that Jesus himself displayed. Those who behave in an unchristian way, prove that they are not followers of Jesus.

Canada is no more a Christian country than the US is.

I agree....but those who identify as "Christian" in the US particularly, imagine that they live in a "Christian" country. Not so long ago, Australia saw itself that way too....but there is no such thing as a "Christian" country. There are genuine and fake Christians in every nation. It's not hard to tell the difference IMO.

You only have to read any social media posts by so many of those in the US...where their first response to any problem is to offer prayers, even though prayer has proved to be fruitless for the most part in any event. Perhaps God wasn't listening? They tend to live in a fantasyland where God and Jesus are treated like 'genies' who make wishes come true. This kind of mindless "belief" does Christianity no favours because others come to believe that this is what Christianity is....it is not even close.
But since Jesus himself foretold this situation, it's not surprising.

I know. I wouldn’t call Canada a “Christian society”, a term that suggests Christianity is a driving force.

Yes, like Australia it is becoming less and less religious and more and more secular. America is apparently still pretending to be a christian nation.....:p....not acting like it though.
