Letting foreign illegals get DL's?
Would that make it easier for Trump to locate 'em and round 'em up, ship them back? They can take their license back with em.

Have you ever been out of the US?

People who drive in the U.S. must have a valid driver's license. Some states require an International Driving Permit (IDP) from foreign nationals, in addition to a valid license from your own country. Contact the motor vehicle department of each state you will drive in for its requirements.

How could someone apply for a drivers license if they were here illegally? That doesn't make sense.

Its stupid.

  1. Can you drive in the US with a foreign license? | US ESTA Visa

They can in California. A driver's license from Calif is no longer proof of citizenship. Unless you go to the DMV and prove you are a US citizen. Then they give you a special drivers license.

It's basically much harder to get a Calif DL if one is a US citizen.

I completely agree. The Socialists never made sense here. It's clear however they are grooming illegals for their own benefit.

I can see a drivers license made under terms of a visa. Illegals are a completely different story.

They are doing something similar in WA, called enhanced DLs, they even let you cross into Canada and back without a passport now, as long as you have the enhanced DL.

My father had an international driver's license since the late 1950s. My brother's got theirs in the late 1960s.

You're talking smack.

They have those in New York. I prefer passports although I do miss the past days where you can cross us and Canadian borders on a regular license.

Terrorism destroyed all of that sadly.

You're right. It doesn't make sense.

However, unfortunately,

Sure, but every news outlet has big controversies. Like Buzzfeed and Vox and CNN laying off massive numbers of employees because their failing business is predicated on clickbait and hyper-partisan, far-left bias. Just because it comes from Fox doesn't mean it's automatically false. Buzzfeed and Vox and CNN get a lot of things wrong and they're super biased too, but they're often also on the money with a lot of issues.

2. What content did you want my post to contain?
I don't know, would it be too much trouble for you to give a reasoned argument for what you think is wrong with the article and its portrayal of the situation, with some other articles that dispute Fox's coverage of the events?

I actually never heard of those before.

My brother-in-law comes to the USA and NY all the time and he has an international drivers license
A gentleman I work with, In NYS, has an international Drivers license and he is a citizen

And I am not sure how giving licenses to Illegal immigrants make sense, but so be it.

My only guess is it could tie in with something like this little gem the Socialists thought up and greenlighted last year.

San Francisco will allow noncitizens to vote in a local election, creating a new immigration flashpoint

It's only a couple of spots at present , but like I mentioned earlier, the Socialists like to trivialize and justify the incremental 'harmless' policies they pass to Institute far more serious things for the benefit of their own intrenchment at the cost of a full citizens rights and privileges by diminishing their influence and rights in favor of a selected dependent class of people who are all but assured to vote predictably in favor of their benefactors.

I would not be surprised in the least if that will be the next step New York takes.
