Jesus' ransom I find covers both the righteous and unrighteous - Acts of the Apostles 24:15
Only the wicked are 'destroyed forever' as per Psalms 92:7.
Those who died before Jesus died (John 3:13) are Not offered heaven, but a future earthly physical resurrection.
What they do ' after ' they are resurrected will determine whether they gain everlasting life on Earth.
Only people like those of Luke 22:28-30 are offered Heaven - Revelation 20:6; Revelation 2:10.
The majority of people are offered everlasting life on earth as originally offered to Adam before his downfall.
Plus, those of us still alive on Earth at the soon coming ' time of separation ' on Earth (Matthew 25:31-33,37 ) can remain alive on Earth, and continue to live on Earth, right into the start of calendar Day One of Jesus' coming 1,000-year governmental rule over Earth when it begins.
Notice what living mankind can experience on Earth as found at Revelation 22:2_________________
Just as Isaiah 35th chapter wrote describing what mankind will see: the return of health on Earth.

The "soon coming time of separation" has been coming soon for a very long time, there's no reason to suggest otherwise.

And I agree because I also do Not consider the Bible to be evidence of an afterlife.
This is because the word ' afterlife ' implies a person is more alive 'after' death then before death.
No it does not
Afterlife is Not a biblical teaching but future Resurrection is
Resurrection is a form of afterlife, it is not being honest with yourself to claim that having a life after this one is anything less than an afterlife.

You are right URAVIP2ME is expressing a different view which is perfectly OK. On the other hand, does that view lead to a Higher Level where Unconditional Love lives? I don't see how it can.

As I see it, given enough time ,lessons, and living all the sides we do not understand ,we will all discover Unconditional Love is the only answer.

Hate is not always a direct thing. One can be doing it without realizing it especially after a lifetime of being taught that it is right or it comes from God.

Glad you like my post. Thanks for your kind words.
One would have to assume that "Higher Level where Unconditional Love lives" exists.

FWIW, love and hate are emotions; human traits which limit us. IMHO, "God" just is and the same for whatever lies beyond the natural universe, if anything.

Hi. Thanks for your comment. I think I’m getting some of the various persons here mixed up, but I will give you my best ideas.

1. There was no Adam or Eve in a special garden.

2. Jesus WAS in heaven on the same day.
He was even there long before that day. Consider that the Bible says that all that was created was created by Jesus. Don’t confuse time with eternity. He created the earth before he was born on earth.

3. There is no paradise on earth. Therefore the thief and Jesus would be together in the kingdom of god, immediately after death.

4. Your comment makes it sound like you think “the father” and Jesus are two separate entities. How many times did he say that they are ONE? John 14:9 Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?

Just food for thought.
You will have to quote Bible verses to back it up.

I would truly love to learn more. I thought angels were beings created by God before humans existed. If you have Bible verse that say otherwise please list them.

It’s odd you are constantly demanding that others use bible verses to support their beliefs, yet you do not.

And if you only read the Bible verses in the literal, you will never see the true message within.

Furthermore, when I quote a Bible verse, you conveniently ignore it (like John 14:19-20), since it doesn’t fit into your earthly view of things??

You will have to quote Bible verses to back it up.

Actually I don’t. You don’t want to see what is in the verses that I do quote. And you do not want to hear what others have to say.

Here’s some verses for you:

Ezekiel 12:2 New International Version (NIV) “Son of man, you are living among a rebellious people. They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people

Mark 8:17-18 Jesus asked them: "Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened? Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear?

And here’s a biggie for you:
Matthew 13:9-17 9Whoever has ears, let them hear." 10The disciples came to him and asked, "Why do you speak to the people in parables?" 11He replied, "Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 13This is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. 14In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: "'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. 15For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.' 16But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.

The Lord dealt with many lost and wandering souls while he was on earth. He constantly said statements like those above. What could be the message?

You have free will. You can ponder the above or ignore them like you have done in the past. It’s your choice.

Actually my needs are very simple. I want one Bible verse that has the word HEAVEN and says people will go there when they die. I ignore the verses you quote because they do not say this. Maybe you should use your eyes and ears to try to find the verse that says what I am looking for.

Let’s see.
I quoted one yesterday morning, yet you ignored it. Umm, did you not understand it?

And then you keep harping for more?

Pretty sad.

Since you are so lost let me try to guide you back onto the path.

Check the title of this thread.

Check my posts.

Nowhere have I stated anything about going to heaven after death. You seem to have diverted the discussion in that direction.

Perhaps you could start your own thread regarding that topic?

“The nature of heaven is to provide a place there for all who lead good lives, no matter what their religion may be.”
― Emanuel Swedenborg

My question: Why not?

We can't establish the validity of God or an afterlife. There is no evidence. So asking differing points of religious views is even more futile. Isn't it really this simple?

I learned to read a couple years ago. Maybe you are on the wrong thread. This one is about "Who will get to heaven". I only ask people who believe in going to heaven to show me a Bible verse that says anything about this. If you are talking about something else then you must be on the wrong thread.

Dude, no doubt everyone can acknowledge your knowledge of scripture but to those who take it with a grain of salt, especially its blatant falsehoods, then you just appear to be as big of a jerk as the atheists.

If you want to convert people, IMO, don't be a Bible-thumper screaming scripture at people. Better for you to explain why science says the Earth is over 4.5B years old yet the Bible only says it's about 6000 years old or how Jonah could live inside a whale for 3 days....or why God murdered babies and the unborn in Sodom and Gomorrah.
