Who will get to heaven?

EVERY wine connoisseur will now persecute you for equating wine as booze! you are in DEEEEP trouble and I would lighten up on the booze so early in the morning if I were you.

I rarely drink alcohol and have never been drunk in my life. Wine is as much booze as any other alcoholic drink.

Revelation 6:9-11 King James Version (KJV)
9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
First, it does not say the alter in is heaven. Second, these are dead people WAITING for their reward. They are not living in heaven. This is a very basic belief among Christians. They hope to go to heaven when they die. There should be many verses they SPECIFICALLY use the word Heaven and say people will go there after they die. No one has quotes a single verse that says this.

“The nature of heaven is to provide a place there for all who lead good lives, no matter what their religion may be.”

My question: Why not?
you end up along side others like yourself
they who think and feel as you do

how else to be happy?
how else to be fair?

and your religion won't matter

Doesn't seem very fair to pay for the sins of two people, still it's all supposition.
Adam and Eve were unable to commit sin before partaking of the fruit because they had no knowledge of good and evil.

No one is "paying" for what they did. We are being paid by being able to continue to learn and grow.

If they had not partaken of the fruit, no change would have happened and none of us would exist upon the Earth.
I'm really trying to see the "overwhelming positive effect" of religion anywhere, some of the most religious places and people in the world are also the worst places to live with intollerant backward people imo.
The United States of America owes it's founding to Judeo-Christian principles.

However, I do have to admit, that not all religions are created equally.

Excuses, excuses for the god, which is a complete psycho if it exists!
You should thank Him for everything you are and have. Both the good and the bad.

I would hold off on trying to judge Him until you come to know a little bit more about Him.

I will take your word on it.

But, of course,

Jesus certainly seemed to like his booze, so they may have been drunk for much of the time.

Is what the hypocritical religious leaders declared falsely about Jesus too.

That was a great side step!

1) Exactly where were they?
2) How do you know they are not living in Heaven?

And where are these: Rev 5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

3) Rev. 5 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? 3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.

WAIT A MINUTE: Did it way "No man in Heaven or earth..." could open the seals?

Very interesting!!! Did you even bother to read the verses you listed? Verse 10 says ""we shall reign on the earth". So I repeat my question is there even one verse that uses the word "heaven" and says people will go there after they die? I can't find it but I am sure you are smarter than me and can point it out.

Ok... let me try to walk you through step by step (since you didn't see the very specific reference to Heaven). Not to mention that living reigning on earth (later) doesn't violate being with Jesus now.

1) Where is Jesus now?
2) Is He sitting on a throne?

Interesting sidestep. This is not about Jesus. I asked one specific question. Quote a Bible verse r\that says people go to heaven when they die. Can you do it?

I figured that you knew if you answered those questions, the reality of people going there would be obvious.

Great two step dance! :D

I guess I will play the game. I believe Jesus is in heaven and probably has a throne. I fail to see the obviousness of anything beyond that. Maybe you can enlighten me.

Well... thank you, my friend.

2 Corinthians 5:8
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

certainly that would be in Heaven since that is where the Lord is at.

Rev 4:4 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

Ok... we have Jesus on the throne and people at the throne.

Rev 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

still on the throne

8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints 9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

people from every kindred and tongue and people and nation singing.

10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

"Shall" is future tense... in the interim they are still in Heaven.

So people go up to heaven for a while and then come back to earth to reign? What's the point. And whatever you do be sure not to be MEEK for the Bible says the meek shall inherit the earth. And I guess I can't read very good because I still do not see where it specifically says anyone will go to heaven. In fact I see a verse that says NO MAN has ascended up to heaven. So I will need more help from you. Yes, "shall" is future but how and why are they in heaven now?

Adam and Eve were unable to commit sin before partaking of the fruit because they had no knowledge of good and evil.

Knowing what we do about human evolution its unlikely the Adam and Eve were real people.

No one is "paying" for what they did. We are being paid by being able to continue to learn and grow.

People believe Jesus did,if they committed the first sin he paid for theirs and all mankind's.

If they had not partaken of the fruit, no change would have happened and none of us would exist upon the Earth.

This doesn't make sense either because after they ate the fruit they had children,Cain able Seth and their sisters,it's well known what interbreeding causes so if it were true it's unlikely anyone would have existed up to now.

The United States of America owes it's founding to Judeo-Christian principles.

However, I do have to admit, that not all religions are created equally.

True, afaik there's just two that proselytize.

Apologies in quoting your post,I'm doing it from my phone and don't seem to have all the forum function.
