Do your best to enjoy this life

I find it so sad that some people spend more time looking skywards anticipating some sort of afterlife, than trying to enjoy their present existence.

Of course one will face trials and tribulations, but with luck one will also have good times as well. I am fortunate that my husband and I have wonderful children and grandchildren. I think one should do one's best to help others less fortunate if one can, which can help to give one's life meaning. If you spend too much time soaking up religion instead of getting out there and doing something worthwhile it makes you less of a person, imo.

If that was the case... I'd be covered in money and attentive women.

If that's what one thinks it takes to enjoy life, then one is setting him/herself up for disappointment.

Again, life it what one makes it. Happiness and enjoyment, in my experience, are relative. If one is unhappy, one should live in the moment.

If one has a family living in the moment tends to make your family unhappy. Lover's, Friends and Family all have expectations of you and if you don't want to ruin there happiness you need to restrain yours.

That is the truth about happiness for any individual to be completely happy they will make many others unhappy.

I have always done my own thing, I don't seek anyone's approval.

Spirit of Light

Be who ever you want
It would be a very boring world if they were.
Yes :) But it would also be a much better place if more people were more spiritual, and actually practiced the teachings of their religion, instead of wanting everyone else to be like them, because human beings are not at the same level of spiritual wisdom we do need different spiritual paths so that everyone can have a chance to gain more spiritual wisdom.
Problem today is that many say they belong within a religion but they do not follow the teaching, because it make them uncomfortable
