I still think W had better gag writers (his speeches were supposed to be gags, right? :D)

Hmmm ok maybe your on to something. "Dubbya" did have some goofs.

I guess I see it as W was trying to be serious, and failing miserably.

Whereas as Trump is obviously trolling the opposition.

I would say that's the difference.

I remember a time on the internet when conservatives would try to convince people that W "isn't that bad" even as the economy was tanking right before them.
I think "not that bad" was probably the nicest thing anyone ever had the nerve to say about Bush.2.0

To an extent, yes. I should probably see the humor more in the star of The Apprentice running the country.

What you think that's more funny than a Cowboy in the oval office?

Your not old enough to remember. But Reagan was an actor, he did a lot of cowboy movies. When he decided to un for Pres, people made fun of him as well.

Reagan was also the leader of a strong and influential union and a governor before he became President. He had political experience.

If the economy continues to grow like it has. Trump will surpass Obama as the best President ever.

Not if you care about character and morality.

And the economy is not great if you are one of the many living paycheck-to-paycheck and/or with massive student loans while the rich get even wealthier.

That's excellent news. It means the threat of imposing a tariff worked! Now no tarrif and Mexico stops dragging its feet on its side to patrol the border. That's a win win!
It's always been that way, at least with leaders that get results, that's why many are almost always hard liners in their dealings with foreign affairs and policies and like in nature, the one with the better hand wins.

Lame ducks and do nothing leaders are pretty much worthless and always go the line of the status quo and business as usual and then wonder why they don't get anywhere.

A lot of people are actually starting to enjoy savings. Unless of course, socialists get back in power and then take it all away again for themselves, their cronies, and their pet projects through the implementation of high and oppressive taxes, fees, and mandates .

It's great for those of us who didn't rack up massive student loans for useless degrees that can't be used to payback those loans. Getting a degree for a field that doesn't have a high demand is the main culprit.

A Pew Research poll released yesterday says that most Americans rank former President Barack Obama as the best president of their lifetimes.

44% polled named Obama as the best or second best President in their lifetime, Trump came in forth behind Bill Clinton who tied for second place with Ronald Reagan (both at 33%) with 19%.

Americans Say Barack Obama Was Best President of Their Lifetimes

Pfft....

I'd say Reagan and Kennedy hands down -- loved by BOTH parties voters. I wasn't alive during Kennedy, but my quality of life was never better than it was under Reagan -- that remains true to this day, but Trump's is getting there. (for me personally, anyway...) Republican's still hated Obama, and so did a lot of Libertarians. Of course, during Obama's term there was plenty to dislike if you were old enough to have a job. (Losing a job meant months to years off, that's not the case now under Trump.) Millions of Americans (self-included) nearly lost or did lose their homes, etc. I never seen a President with so much trouble on the domestic level -- you might hate any of those other Presidents, but I never felt the President was directly affecting my ability to live like Obama's term. Health insurance premiums doubling with a wave of the pen on Obamacare didn't do anything to help anyone either. So, all Obama was to me was quicksand -- constantly losing money to stupid **** he did and just due to being careful and clever being able to gasp for air and barely surviving. Other people weren't that lucky... Anyway, Trump being in office felt like a 2000 pound fat man got off my back and that's still going.

Obama's domestic policies were okay. I have health insurance thanks to him and he did a lot for LGBT rights. Plus, him and Michelle are inspiring people in their own right. His foreign policy left much to be desired, however. I was enraged by the Libya catastrophe.
